I have seen quite a few people buttering teachers up to get benefits at school, but either because her speech did not seem memorized in the slightest, or because Mlle. Mẫn (who looks everything but the kind of person who loves flattery) almost applauded her at the end of her speech, I have the feeling that she might have been 100% honest.
