Story by me
Sylvester is chasing his dinner-to-be around the Warner offices & stages.
This was a really fun collaboration between the artist & myself. The artist was a Space Jam fan, or more precisely a fan of the Monstars (she liked their beefcake look) so originaly one of them had a cameo here. Later changed to Gossamer's just passing through.

Erm, that's not one of the Monstars from "Space Jam".
That's Gossamer, the big orange monster guy, first appearing in "Hair Raising Hare" (1946). He was revealed to be a being comprised entirely of hair in "Duck Dodgers and the Return of the 24Β½th Century" (1980). He did have a very minor role in "Space Jam" as one of the audience members; you see him in a car before the big game starts, and he's a spectator gasping in the stands, just after Bugs gets squashed by the orange Monstar while pushing Lola out of the way trying to save her from the same fate.
Easy to mix up though, considering he's wearing huge basketball shoes

You're likely right here.
An earlier version of the comic did have one of the Monstars in that role. The artist was crazy about them.

A toon cat has no choice but to start the whole chase going.

I hadn't seen this in enough detail before to notice the faint WB logos. I'd just figured it was a clothing shop at a mall somewhere.

Yeah, I'd forgotten about its location too.
