I painted these designs on a sideboard that we have. I am only really an amatuer but I thought I would show you anyway.

Rachsplendent! Monkeynana is absolutely right about first pieces being the best, usually. It's when you tinker with a medium and put a lot of care and determination into it.. the whole exploration of techniques shows through.
I like the picture on the right. Some kind of motion-blurred half-revealed apparation of a large tail-whipping beast leaping forward in attack against an eery blue star filled sky.

that looks like it was so much fun painting
I like the blue door in the middel, it helps give this piece a vibrant side to it,
and I also like that it's mostly black, because it brings out the colors

*smiles* It was, especially considering I used my fingers to paint most of it. hehe.. it ended up being the smoothest effect.
The things that took me the longest were the tiny little panels with little pictures in the centre of the blue door. I love that colour blue too! It was a surprise mixing find.

Although you consider it not so well, first pieces are always the best! I must say when I started carving my carved Maori Bone was just so weird.. yet i love the effort!! And thats a great Sideboard !!

Thanks. I'm quite proud of it. Took ages... especially the little tiny windows of pictures that are in the centre of that blue window - I'm sorry I'm not sure if they are very clear in this photo.
A carved Maori bone sounds very interesting.. what did you carve into it?

I wll pay more close attention to the little windows.
As for the Maori bone, Its hard to description, it was 8 cm long and 2 width. It had these zigzag sort of carvings and a special New Zealdner Stone carved and glue in. sorry Im not the good in expressing.
