In this dystopian fantasy, you follow two young protagonists - Tygressa, a female Longwing, a high-class rebel who despises the system she was born into, and Ruskaer, a male Sparkclaw, a conformist who fears Tygressa will someday get them into more trouble than she can get them out of.
Ruskaer's fears come to fruition when Tygressa's hatred for the racist hierarchy of the Dragon Empire overtakes her and sends them head-first into a world of secrets much larger than they could have ever known.

CW: Breakthrough contains heavy tones of racism, classim, violence, abuse, and other psychologically impactful themes.

Hello? Is anyone still out there that remembers this project?

For those of you who remember Breakthrough... welcome back. I'm sure you see a few changes already.

For those that don't, Breakthrough is my ancient comic project I started way back in 2014. I can't believe it's been 7 years - geeze. Anyway, it ran consistently until 2016, when I reached the 100th page and effectively gave up on the project. It was too much work and with a weekly upload schedule and putting far too much detail into every page, I just had no time to live outside of this comic.

Ever since then, I've mulled around on how to continue it. I like the story and I like the themes, but the story I had drawn out was rushed and disjointed. I've reread it a few times and I'm not at all satisfied with it.

In the end, I decided to reboot it under a new style and new story. The themes are the same, but the storytelling will hopefully be a lot better. Instead of making up as I go, I'm prewriting the script and story.

I'm not sure how far I'll get this time around, but I want to give it a shot for as long as I'm having fun. I have the prologue finished, so I'll update with that on Mondays, and we'll see where we'll go from there.
