Description THIS IS OUTDATED. PLEASE SEE THE NEW VERSION HERE: firedragon97.deviantart.com/ar…

Want a reference sheet? Go here!

Update 6/24/2017: Adjustments to pricing, updating examples.

I want to clarify outright that I do not accept commissions in the form of points greater than $15 (1,500 points) in value normally. This is due to the fact that deviantART shoulders the fee of Point transactions on the client. While you pay $25 and get 2,000 points, I would receive only $20. If I request the proper worth of $25 (2,500) points, you will end up paying much more. If you understand and accept this, I am willing to negotiate and go above my cap.

What I Do/Do Not Draw
I draw well...
Dragons! I excel mainly at dragons! This is the species I have the most practice with.
Reptiles.
I can draw...
 Equines. I've got some practice but I'm not the best.
 Canines. Same as above.
 Felines. I'm rather off with these and I can't guarantee much quality.
 Other feral animals - ask!
Anthropomorphic creatures (anthros, basically)
Rendered fur. Please, I'm not the best with fur, so ask for full realism with fur at your own risk.
I do not draw...
Humans. I cannot draw humans. Please do not ask me to.
Complicated machines or mechanical devices.
Anything similar to apes or chimps

How To Request a Commission
Details on how to commission me are also detailed at the bottom of my terms of service document.

If you wish to request a commission from me, please send me an e-mail at belanger.kelsie@gmail.com . Include the following details:
  • Your character’s/characters’ reference image or a very detailed written description of the character(s) in question.
  • Every single detail you can think of regarding the scene. Pose, environment, time of day, etc.
  • Any other details you feel that it is important for me to know.
  • Please name the e-mail an appropriate and clear name. “Hey there” is not an appropriate and clear name. Please use something like “Commission Proposition” or “Commission from [username]” so I know to get back to you ASAP.

    ~~~~
    Layout inspired by various price sheets across dA, but the original vertical alignment was inspired from the commission sheet of TwilightSaint, hence possible parallels.
    I should be; I don't plan on closing them permanently. Right now I have closed them temporarily for the sake of my sanity as college has just started and I'm trying to figure out / manage my time.
    I want one... but sadly, I do not want to spend that many points all in one area. And the one I really want doesn't seem to take points!
    👍: 0 ⏩: 1
    Rackiera In reply to ArrowheadG [2017-02-12 04:40:36 +0000 UTC]
    It's np, I understand. I just don't want to take points at such a high value because it really rips off the costumer. For me, it's 100 points per 1$ while you get 80 points per 1$. Once you hit around $25, you're going to start losing about $5 just in the conversion. I don't support ripping off my clients. I'd prefer to take fees myself.
    If you ever change your mind in the future I'm willing to negotiate a point price if you want, but just please keep in mind you're going to lose more via points than anything else.
    Rackiera In reply to Xeshaire [2014-11-23 15:40:52 +0000 UTC]
    Nah, I don't think I've seen yours It was mostly inspired by TwilightSaint's - twilightsaint.deviantart.com/a… . Just looked at yours now, though, and I can definitely see the resemblance. It's a coincidence, I swear!
    👍: 0 ⏩: 1
    Xeshaire In reply to Rackiera [2014-12-03 05:42:00 +0000 UTC]
    Either way I think it would be a good idea to give credit for the inspiration, out of courtesy. :3
    👍: 0 ⏩: 1
    Rackiera In reply to Xeshaire [2014-12-05 21:13:25 +0000 UTC]
    Well I didn't specifically look at hers and say "This is what I want to look like" I linked hers because it's one of the many I looked at - I searched DA and FA for 'commission sheet' and scanned many, and that's the common style that I saw that I liked. If I were to credit everyone individually it'd be a bit of a long list
    👍: 0 ⏩: 1
    Xeshaire In reply to Rackiera [2014-12-16 05:58:31 +0000 UTC]
    Well you did say you were mostly inspired by hers, so you did take most elements of her, so out of courtesy credit would likely be appreciated so she could have seen as well. xD I have only seen Twilight's and mine like this and now yours after them.
    👍: 0 ⏩: 1
    Rackiera In reply to Xeshaire [2014-12-16 21:01:48 +0000 UTC]
    Sorry if I was confusing but I meant I got the vertical alignment from TwilightSaint's, which appeared in none of the other things I looked at, although the rest of her elements did (and from that it ended up looking a lot like hers) - researching 'commission prices' on FA I got all the horizontal ones I was looking at, though there are a lot more -
    www.furaffinity.net/view/12064…
    www.furaffinity.net/view/71812…
    www.furaffinity.net/view/99616…
    www.furaffinity.net/view/12129…
    I also searched dA but not about to re-search it xD
    In the end it looks like TS's and yours a lot more than I hoped it would But yeah, I said 'mostly' because it ended up looking mostly like hers.
    I'm also not trying to avoid giving credit - I always do if I must! I just didn't directly just copy her overall layout or style, I just took the vertical from it, and then samplings from the other general look of things, and threw it all together. Just in the end it looks more like hers than I'd want it to I have to run now but if I remember when I get back I'll add a note on the bottom about who I referenced from for it
    👍: 0 ⏩: 1
    Xeshaire In reply to Rackiera [2014-12-16 21:07:53 +0000 UTC]
    Yes horizontal ones are very common. xD Just not the vertical ones like Twilight's or mine, which was the point trying to get across. xD
    It's always a great thing to go to the person and be like "Hey you inspired me to make this, I hope this is okay!" so both parties know that you have it. ^^
    👍: 0 ⏩: 1
    Rackiera In reply to Xeshaire [2014-12-19 03:12:03 +0000 UTC]
    There, I added in a quick note on the bottom noting where I got the inspiration from.
    I've seen more vertical ones than yours and Twilight's though. I think Ouiatchoueon's is vertical too... *checks* ....or not? I know there are more, I'm not about to dig through my 300 person deep watch list to find it though. xD
    Oh yes, Mythka has it vertical but in a different layout - mythka.deviantart.com/art/COMM…
    Rackiera In reply to Webbedwing [2014-05-31 12:42:06 +0000 UTC]
    As in me commissioning someone for designs or the other way around? If it's the other way around then I could, just I'm not hugely sure what I'd put it at
    👍: 0 ⏩: 1
    Webbedwing In reply to Rackiera [2014-06-01 02:35:31 +0000 UTC]
    Like if I requested a character design from you in exchange for payment. Using the word "commission" can get a little confusing for me.
    👍: 0 ⏩: 1
    Rackiera In reply to Webbedwing [2014-06-01 17:33:47 +0000 UTC]
    Ohhh! Yeah, I would do that but I'm just not sure what I'd price it at.. and would like to at least work off a basis of colors or whatnot. (Like, 'design a blue dragon with green highlights' or something like that, so you know what I mean by basis)
    👍: 0 ⏩: 1
    Webbedwing In reply to Rackiera [2014-06-02 03:45:07 +0000 UTC]
    Hmm... well, seeing as your full-body flat-color commissions are $15, maybe within  the $20 range (the extra being thrown in there for the design itself)? Though I guess it would depend on how detailed a design is. You're the artist though, so in the end it's up to you. :3
    👍: 0 ⏩: 1
    Rackiera In reply to Webbedwing [2014-06-02 20:59:26 +0000 UTC]
    Hmmm... probably, I guess if it was really complex it'd be more towards $20 but if it was less complex or very simple it'd back off to something like $17.50? ^^
    A problem with commisions is that it turns art into a job. Rather, you -have- to draw something. You can't be like "Eh, I don't feel like drawing that". Someone paid for that. You have to draw it or get no money.
    DraaGul In reply to Windridres [2014-03-20 05:48:53 +0000 UTC]
    What no? If someone pays you for something and you agreed on drawing it, you have to draw it. :v You can't just be like "Eh, dude, ya know what, I actually don't want to draw this" and then give the money back without any good reason after you agreed on drawing it. Otherwise you are one damn unserious commission artist. :U
