I feel like my titles for these are getting less and less creative XDD
Finally got to cosplay with Rayray (who doesn't have dA or a FB Page), that was freaking awesome. She was Akane, and had the boomerang that lit up and all! I didn't have time to make the sword for my costume unfortunately. I need to fix a few things here and there but regardless, I was happy I got to cosplay Vividred! XD I also forgot to order a wig, so just used my Ciel one LOL.
We will hopefully have the main 4 girls for a photoshoot soon. If not, I really want to make either Docked/Vivid Green or Docked/Vivid Red!

Akane's costume was actually bought, though I'm not sure from which website. Β Everything on mine was hand made and very time consuming though lol.

Not really, actually most of it was made from left over fabric and stuff I already had.Β The only new pieces I bought for this costume was the rope on the sash and the superglue to attach all the button pieces LOL.

Yep! It's a pleated skirt with shorts attached underneath XD
Pleats are pretty easy, it's just somewhat time consuming. I don't know any tricks of how to figure out how wide/deep to make the pleats but generally have the fabric however long you want it (i.e. from waist to knee etc) whether it's hemmed or folded up (twice as long), then for the measurements.. you want 2.5-3 times as much as your waistband measurement
Then with that, there may be tricks or something to figuring out spacing/depth etc.. but I just pick a measurement and go with that to the end, measure and modify it until I get it the right measurement XD
Though that's for directional pleats. Box pleats are a little different, but I guess that idea is the same XD I'm not really sure, I just make this stuff up as I go XD

Yeah that's basically what i'm doing now. Making stuff up as I go. Putting shapes together. xD Please it's not easy xD Maybe for you who is absolutely epic (9000% skill) But thanks ^^ This helps me a lot.
