Personally I found sparkle effects're kinda minor, but many peoples requested me about how to make them so....here you go
You don't need to add that much sparkle to a pic ANW, most of the time I just have less than 3 sparkles for a pic of one person.
Made in PS CS2, I think this should work on previous versions of Photoshop as well.
And...just hope this can be useful
The character in the pic is June, my OC. Don't even think of stealing her, it causes sudden death.

Thx 4 making this tutorial, but i'm still confusing 2 things :
- I have tried the stroke one, but it really short, i've tried to make it longer but can't...
- Can't find the rainbow like yours, it turns into a round rainbown without blank in between >.<...

- The smudge method? Try to increase the "strength". 50-75% should work. And of course you have to strike repeatedly to make it longer!
(BTW, do you use tablet?)
- There's two kinds of rainbow gradients in Photoshop. The one here should be found in the "Special Effects" set. You can choose the set through that small button with arrow at the top right of the panel where you choose the gradients.

I think there's a method to make gradients by our own...
ANW, you can just make several circles with rainbow colors, stacking each other, it works as well~

Pas lagi pake gradien, ntar di panel atas kan ada kotak2 tempatnya milih gradien tuh, terus ada mode=normal, opacity 100%. Lha di sebelahnya kan ada kotak2 5 biji, yang kedua dari kiri itu yang bentuknya bulet, di klik. Terus coba deh~
