Personally I found sparkle effects're kinda minor, but many peoples requested me about how to make them so....here you go
You don't need to add that much sparkle to a pic ANW, most of the time I just have less than 3 sparkles for a pic of one person.
Made in PS CS2, I think this should work on previous versions of Photoshop as well.
And...just hope this can be useful
The character in the pic is June, my OC. Don't even think of stealing her, it causes sudden death.

you are a photoshop god. i'm gonna hafta try these on stuff if I ever make anything decent...you should make a general shading and shadow tutorial! that sounds kinda long, tho...

Oh all you need to do is knowing where the light comes from. Then shade the parts which oppose the light! OMG thats all!
