I think its a different side of your style, while keeping true to how you work, you've made a piece that I think is more toward cheerful (?) art rather than toward your horror type style. BUT enough about me, THIS is epic. Your eye for detail is stunning as always, and the way you paint with color is beyond amazing. It is just . . . incredible how I was able to recognize what fandom this is for, but yet it is all your own. And for some reason this makes me want a remake in this style, something completely badass, and probably twisted in an awesome way.

Absolutely, you should remake her the way you think she should go. Leave your mark, that's what I say. Part of the fun thing about fanart is putting your own spin to it. When I researched images of Rainbow Brite I immediately wanted to give her a Gothic Lolita spin. It's cute but also spunky.
I think I know the next person I want to draw now.

Stunning detail all over! You have a knack for making detailed pictures without drowning the viewer in all the elements. I mean to say that I don't find my eyes straying when looking at this, they're actually led through the picture. My favourite part in this illustration is definitely the girl. Her hair, make-up and clothes are very fun to look at

OMG, I'm so glad you appreciate the effort I put into making this complex but not... complex?
It was definitely one of the more challenging pieces I've worked on in a long time, mostly because the more colors you introduce the more you risk totally overwhelming the viewer to the point where you turn them off. This was more of a design challenge just as much as a painting one. Coloring Rainbow Brite was the easy part. But designing/coloring/grouping the circles in a way they didn't interfere/clash with her was extremely difficult. I also had to make sure everything was balanced, where Rainbow Brite was integrated with the background as opposed to sticking out like a sore thumb against them.
Aw, redesigning Rainbow Brite's clothes was fun!

I can see why the colour grouping and creating the background would be hard and I'm quite glad you chose to give more detail and tone to Rainbow Brite instead of to the background (The bg looks complex enough as it is
