Wonder what I've been up to lately? Tired of me revising past work?
I've been pretty busy doing tons of new stuff, whether it's for class or for clients. Today I had a photo shoot and got to have decent photos of this freak of nature. 
It's certainly a fun piece to look at as you can't clearly determine what's dimensional and what isn't. I was highly inspired by a SA local artist here: John Hernandez. His Zoe's Room is filled with cartoon characters that are a combination of flat shapes and shapes with dimension. It forces the audience to interact with the work and wonder what the hell is popping out and what is really an *illusion* of dimension. I wanted that type of audience interaction in this work. Being a graphic designer, the concept was right up my alley. Plus, I got to brush up on my modeling skills, soemthing I haven't done in a long time. I really love how the photo came out, especially when some of the cut out shapes just blend straight into the background, further confusing the viewer of what's really there and what isn't. Have fun looking at this! made with a shitload of stuff, including... moss. O_o

Not entirely. XD There are some other things in it, like fur. O_o I thought the side bangs came out cool, looking at this now. Some of them have the moss/string sticking in that direction, whole others are was jsut drawn.
Well, i wouldn't mind sending it over there. But it is pretty fragile. However, I'm actually considering making a box-like frame for this, as I've seen some dimensional stuff put into things like that. That oughta secure it better

I really love art that messes with spacial relationships and depth. It looks pretty freaky after a while trying to determine what is flat and what isn't. The colors and patterns meld beautifully together.
