Description ok, put the wheels(dub inspired) from before under the zonda, im sure it'll hit someone's fancy....not a big fan of this style wheel but it looks ok to me....like i said, maybe it'll hit someone's fancy/interest.

EDIT: changed the image from the 768pixel to a 1600pixel image....with an annoying background too...lol.

oh yeah, you'll need to add a meshsmooth modifier to the pieces.

oh um, sorry about that, the last one I sent you, I cheated, I had exported it out when it was meshsmoothed, so thats why there was so many polies, you know, to hide how I made it, anyway I'm resending you these with the low poly version of the other wheels.

its a video tutorial, though your gonna have to search for the background image yourself, I used this tutorial to learn how to make wheels in cinema 4D, though max did have some tools that c4d doesnt have, I did get most of it done. good luck.

Well actually I was out yesterday looking for C4D. I did find one and is already installed. Most likely I would try to play around with it... thanks man

when you +fav'd it(thankyou though), was it the current image or was it the smaller one with the black to white background? anyway if it was the smaller one, then the bigger image should be a bit more pleasing aside from the background.

changed the image, its a bit bigger now also i made another design, should be up soon, its the easiest wheel i've ever made....lol.....you don't need a mentor, all you need is the same program I am using, a fast internet connection at home, and just request some video tutorials and i'll make em.

I have 3DS Max, Bryce, Wings 3D, MudBox, Sketchup, Daz3D, and a few others...

ragingpixels In reply to pyrestriker [2007-06-05 11:12:58 +0000 UTC]

talk about warezing...sheesh, I suppose sticking with max if you wanna make cars and planes and smooth round things, if you wanna make mechs/tanks, stuff like that, stick with Wings 3D, if your gonna get into CAD sketchup is a good beginners tool, but if you wanna get hardcore and plan on using your cad designs on a C&C machine, I suggest learning Rhino, though a big harder, it will come in handy if you ever get into the engineering field.

Well, with all of them being able to import/export both the .3ds and .obj formats, I can pretty much get around to make anything I want. I just have to figure out what I'm doing first.

ragingpixels In reply to Hebejebelus [2007-06-04 23:24:30 +0000 UTC]

when I say complex, I mean like a whole car, bits and pieces is fine with me but im not gonna make a full car tutorial.

Hebejebelus In reply to ragingpixels [2007-06-04 23:34:01 +0000 UTC]

Course, I know that that'd be near impossible!

ragingpixels In reply to Hebejebelus [2007-06-04 23:23:37 +0000 UTC]

make sure its not too complex, like making a car or complex wheel.

I never liked the ultra big diameter wheels because they make the car less of a toy and more of a cartoon, dare I say goofy. Looks alright though.

i agree, seriously i do, notice, i changed the image, its a bit higher res, plus its got an annoying background too.

devianb In reply to ragingpixels [2007-06-04 22:10:03 +0000 UTC]

Surprisingly looks better in full view. You really didn't have to add that background did you?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ragingpixels In reply to devianb [2007-06-04 22:35:11 +0000 UTC]

might lower the chances of the image getting stolen.

Hebejebelus [2007-06-04 21:11:22 +0000 UTC]

+fav! I like the paintjob. The wheels do go with it, and I like them on a car. Not on their own, though.
