Originally this was going to be a lot more fantasy oriented and less music themed, but I got lazy and just coped out with the music note brushes.

This was originally done to practice some things I'm not so good at. color composition (on the character mostly) different shading techniques, and backgrounds were the main things.

Still failed on the background. It sucks but all the tutorials on here focus mostly on coloring characters, not the backgrounds, so I'm going at it blind. really all I've been doing lately is looking at other peoples work and trying to figure out how they did certain things, but it's slow progress.

took about 8 hours total, most of which was trying to figure out where I wanted things and going back to fix mistakes.

All brushes used were either photoshop standard, or came from 's gallery. She has some very interesting and versatile brushes, check her out.
