Description
(spoilers??)
I absolutely adore the new Ducktales with every fiber of my being
I'm incredibly excited to see where this series goes, especially with how dark Disney XD shows have been getting lately XD (I love really dark cartoons ahahaha)
Ah man, that hinting in the episode really got me, I really think Scrooge is at least somewhat responsible for the death(?) of Donald's twin sister/the triplet's momma
Also, I'm actually pleased with how this came out, as trying the Ducktales 2017 style is a new thing for me

Yes, i believe you're right. It's Scrooges pride that prevents him to admitting he was partly responsible for Della's disappearance, and it shows in the "Last crash of the Sonchaser" which is what ultimately caused a fall out between him and Donald. What We can't say though is scrooge didn't try to find Della as revealed at the end of the episode he most certainly did everything he could. This show has amazing emotion depth that most rebuts don't have. For example Teen titans go has no little emotion depth to it, whereas the original had emotion depth. Most rebuts live off of nostalgia and fear to have any emotional depth to them. Ducktales is different, it is nostalgic but don't live off of it. It instead changes things up and has very deep emotional depth.

As of the revelation of Della taking that spear I can see both perspectives
-Donald-with his short sided temper, he thinks it's scrooges fault for Della taking the spear(or dying) , and to him Scrooge accepting no such blame only adds to his anger. I'd also go so far as to say that's why he so careful of the boys.
-Scrooge-with how long he's been around and how rich he is it can be hard for him to trust people especially family, but I can see him believing family can always be trusted before Della took the spear and for him that was the last straw before becoming bitter to the idea of family.

Something caused a rift between these two and the greatest divider of any bond is one marred with death.

Well all the clues line up to that theory.
Donald doesn't trust Scrooge beyond him being a treasure hunting adventurer.
Donald is highly protective of the boys.
they made little if no mention of the boy's mother beyond a worn corner of a picture of one of Scrooge's adventures.

Me too! I absolutely love what they've done with all of the characters I'm a long-time fan of the original Ducktales, and I really love how they've reimagined some of their personalities. I am SO PUMPED to see Fenton Crackshell/GizmoDuck tbh, because him and Scrooge were always my favorites in the original Ducktales XD I seriously adore Fenton. I'm kind of really hoping that they stay somewhat true at least to Fenton's original character, I'm open for new changes to him though
