Another of one of my old works which I colored and re-hashed.. And ALOT of effort was put into coloring this piece here and all I can say is this...WOW
I think I might have broke through as an artist here and apparently, it shows the potential which I have that is dormant inside of me. All I can say is just... I'm in awe here at myself.
Anyway, this is Rakai's second son, Set'gin Thei-de. Now, I know what you're thinking.. He's not green like his father, Rakai is. Well, he isn't-- but then again, Yautja come in different colors, shapes and sizes like us humans do. He also has brown rather than the blue which his father has, this color is inherited from Set's biological mother. The spots are something which I decided to experiment with and apparently... It did wonders... WOW!!
I'm very proud of this piece here!

The name Set'gin means Swift, Fast-- according to the language set which was developed by Steve Perry in the Predator novels.

I like the fact that you're thinking about the diversity of the Yautja race, and it adds to the variety of color and form we can get with our portriature of them. I always thought that the original Predator toy line from Kenner had a lot of merit for exactly that reason. There was the bright red "lava planet" Predator, a couple of different shades of brown predators, one the color of liver, and one that was jet black. THAT guy is the one that inspired my original conception for Chaunn, so it's great to see that someone else likes to think along the same diverse lines.

Well yeah, you also have to consider that environment does also affect the way a species can be more diversed--- for example, one Yautja could've been born in a jungle and the other on a desert planet. They would look totally different. Like how there are many different species of cats, dogs and snakes... All are diverse and come in different shapes and sizes.
Kot'yai, Rakai and Buror are all green... Buror and Rakai being green because they are pure blooded Yautja and share some traits of both their mother and father...
Ko is a greenie because he shares his father's genes more so than his mothers.
