Take away religion and you'd still have greed, power struggles, corruption, and zealous bigotry, politics. Feuding and ambition is in human nature. Don't be naive, religion isn't solely to blame for wars. If you have this kind of thinking, you are part of the problem.

Not to say, of course, that religion hasn't caused wars, just look at Jihad. All I'm saying is that religion isn't the root cause. Human nature is.

No one seems recognizes that humans are religious by nature. The fact that humans are the least selfish animals on the planet is why religion exists. Religion is basically the accepted concept of good morals, not the people who make it up. Simply making religion go away will not make the evil people any less evil. They'll just use a different excuse instead.
And I'm talking about actual religions, not sub-religions.

Okay, yes, I can see being free of premarital sex as moral. However, the bible isn't required for any of this.
Free of hate? Well, that's where Christians are generally the most guilty. I know loving Christians and hateful atheists, but still...
Morality comes from people's good intentions themselves, not the Bible. The Bible supports slavery, racism (not sure about this), sexism, pro-murder, and a lot of other nasty things along with some admitingly good ideas that the polite Christians actually follow. However, the Bible was written by people...showing that people can have both good and bad intentions.
What I'm saying is, there are some Christians who are actually free of hate, well meaning, open minded, and overall moral people, but a scarily high percentage are hateful and closed minded, murderers, stealers, liars, etc.
