I painted this Blue and Gold Macaw just for fun, really. I don't get much call for painting pet birds (wild birds seem to be more popular), but they're fun to paint anyway. The colours tend to be a lot more exciting than dog and cat colours, so it's a nice break from the 4-legged pets.
Not my best work, certainly, but not my worst...

Thank you! It's pretty easy to mess up on eyes, so I usually start with them. If I can't get them right, I know I need to throw it out and start again.

It's helped me out a few times, really. It's a pretty frustrating feeling getting almost done with a painting and then screwing up on the eyes.
