Description

Fjeb: A small, not particularly bright species living in the frigid mountains of Djeheev, a moon circling a gas giant. Their spindly build and lack of substantial integument lets them appear out of place in such an environment; the only reason they can survive there is the symbiotic relationship with the Keiliik. Fjeb have dexterous limbs and essentially serve as the Keiliiks’ hands, whose six limbs have adapted to climb sheer cliffs and run over snow without sinking into it, in turn spending most of their time in the warm neck fur of their larger symbiotic partners. Seen in episode 11 (the native population).

Gaima-Sey: A massive aquatic living in the oceans of Lairagh-2, a Category 1 planet that is only open to researchers. Their language is still in the process of being decoded, but despite being complex, the lack of elaborate social structures and manipulative limbs makes it likely that their contact with the Interstellar Congregation won’t exceed that of research. Featured in episode 9.

Heycariv: The native species from a tidelocked planet circling a red dwarf star. They are rare outside their home and other tidelocked planets, as they find moving celestial bodies highly disturbing and their eyes aren’t made to adapt to a day and night cycle. Featured in episode 7.

Horunnek: A species of large, armoured heavy-worlders that doesn’t mind visiting places with a lower gravity as well. They are among the heaviest land-dwelling intelligent species. Seen in episode 13 and mentioned in episode 3.

Irrib: A large species with an unusual build that consists of a stout, stiff body with two legs and five elongate palps surrounding the mouth, each of which bears a pair of eyes. They originally come from grassland-like environments, where they led a nomadic lifestyle. Irrib never stop growing and are protandric hermaphrodites, starting their life as male and becoming female after reaching a certain size. Because of this, their societies are highly matriarchal. Featured in episode 6 (administrator of a large AI company).
