Description
The group of spaceshipsharks got its name from the rows of glowing organs on their sides. Spaceshipsharks live in in packs that can be found in the deep-sea during the days, where they find together and communicatewith the help of these organs. During the night, they follow the swarms of photoplancton to the surface, where they hunt smaller animals using their long, spiked tongue. Sometimes a pack attacks big animals like the calmar whales, but this is rather rare. Their biggest enemy is the deep-sea tiger, a close relative, which is much bigger and hunts alone. Its glowing organs are smaller and pay mainly a role during mating to attract a partner.
