FULL VIEW FOR TUTORIAL
Finally, after countless requests, I made a full tutorial just on how I do eyes. It really is simple, after a few tries I think you should be able to do it (as long as you know how to insert layers, etc. in photoshop). If you have problems or questions with it, feel free to ask me

I only have a few things 2 add, Art is something 2 enjoy doing, 2 let your emotions flow and 2 be enjoyed by whomever wants 2. Ya don't enjoy it? well thats just up 2 you! At least have the decency as said above 2 respect the fact that somebody tried their best and that there is such a thing as freedom in tast and opinion (thank goodness there is otherwise this world would have been so boring and deviantart itself would not have excisted)

n thanx! the advice earlier helped. i just had to look. i found the layer multiply tool!
i just have one problem left.... when u magnify urs, it looks perfect, just as i did before u magnified it. when i magnify mine, it looks like a bunch of squares.pleez help!

I agree with all of you. There are many different styles of anime. But it's still a form of art (not to mention a well loved form of art). And shouldn't we (as artists) accept and embrace it anyways? Even if it is "the poor man's version of fine art".
Fine art comes from within; not from where others think it should come from.
And whether anyone likes it or not, anime/manga is rising in its popularity quite quickly. True, it does have similar steps & procedures, but no one is forcing you to use them. You are free to have your own style in anything, and that includes anime/manga.
And I'm sorry but from the conversations here, you can easily pick out the true artists from the fakes and wanna-be's....so to say.
We as artists are supposed to be open-minded about many things, ESPECIALLY when it comes to what we do best: ART.
I'm really dissappointed to hear that a peer is actually dissing a particular form of art without even giving it a chance.

Ok, sadly...I have to say, that one, thank you for putting up this tutorial ^^ I liked it
Two, Anime is anime. Yes, it was formed in Japan, but now we have American anime and everything...so really, anime is just anime, no matter where it is from and whatnot...the only difference with manga is that American manga books are smaller than the ones in Japan...which can go to 100 of hundrads of pages...
And this is quiet late...so sorry...XD
And can we just go back to posting about the art?
