FULL VIEW FOR TUTORIAL
Finally, after countless requests, I made a full tutorial just on how I do eyes. It really is simple, after a few tries I think you should be able to do it (as long as you know how to insert layers, etc. in photoshop). If you have problems or questions with it, feel free to ask me

I believe that your tutorials are one of the most amazing and detailed tutorials of anime i've seen yet. Sadly I don't draw exactly that well and the eyes aren't big enough to have all those details in it lol. But this tutorial is still very awesome possom.

I think Branchcake is just sick of seeing the same old style of anime. Gorgeous pic and helpful tutorial btw. I do agree with branchcake that a lot of manga artists draw pretty similiar to each other. Except for maybe when you compare akira toriyama's work with that of the creator of inuyasha. It all realy depends on the way you draw your work and or characters. Personally i don't use the big eyes typically in my work i use more realistic looking eyes. Anime is being overexposed a bit though is probably what branchcake is saying.

i think the picture is nice.
however, you would want to try to fix the proportion of the eyes a little bit.
try to make the eyes work with how the face is drawn. the eyes look like they are looking forward, whild the face is looking at a 3/4 angle.
....just saying... T.T

I'd just like to say, anime is a great art style and if it's done the way it's supposed to be done it's amazing. Origional anime and manga drawing styles are used to tell storys (Aka: Japanese Comics). What most people on here, from what I see are calling charecter poses acual anime.
Those technically arn't anime, but are drawing with the anime art style, which still makes them all that much impressive. It's a very complicated drawing style, and so much has to be taken into perspective. You need good knowlage on lighting, folds, and how to make charecter poses look like a person's.
Anyone who says anime is a low art form though, is most likely someone who doesn't excel in the subject, so they take it out on the people who are good at it. It makes them feel better because they don't practice enough. One you turn charecter poses into a manga with a story, they become all that much greater though. And to the one who said all anime styles look the same, you should be shot.....do you know how many diffrent styles there are? I mean come on...theres like 20 diffrent ways to do eyes, and that goes up as each artist adds they're own style into it. The creator of Gravitation brought around the Sad "gooey" eyes, Clamp artists can really get you attached into the manga, and so forth.
Never, ever degrade an art style as beautiful as this one. The beauty comes from a lot of places, but especially because it's open ended and varies.
