Description
Full View for tutorialBasically I decided to make a tutorial for who got me photoshop CS2! Thank you SO MUCH. But you don't need that program to use this tutorial. Really, it can be used in any program from photoshop 5-CS2. You can easily adapt it to other programs too if you need it. Anyway, I hope you find this useful. I didn't want to give away the final picture completely, which will be posted soon
Enjoy
EDIT: I forgot to give it to you

really helpful
you know, instead of merging all the layers for the lighting you can press ctr+alt+shift+E and that will create a new layer that is a merge of all the visible ones so that you can save the other layers

after you're done with the painting.. you should merge the layers down together.. choosing merge visible or flatten image.. then save it with a JPEG format..

I'm having trouble with the second step. The sketch is a seperate layer, I locked the pixels, I colored it black, and I got a background color, but it doesn't make the lines black, it's just a dark void that chews through my screen.

lol all the education in the world will never help me if I never take the time to read it or practice it.
this is a good tutorial, If I would just actually try to learn something I would do so much better.

i didn't know what brush i should use and the guide
was not very detailed. so, here is the result, any way
i used the airbrush most of the time.

what kind of brush did you use to get the color to look like paint. because i use regular brushes and they look nothing like that.

What's the purpose of sketching in blue or red pencil? Why not use the regular pencil lead? Anyway, wonderful tutorial and you have solved my problems of lineart clean up. Thank you! Now I won't have to spend around 2 hours deleting all the white pixels for lack of Channels. ^^ You really are very talented in digital art.
