I think maybe he was partially based on that character?? Or at least she might have taken inspiration from the tentacles. Anyways, I thought immediately of Slenderman, too.

YES HE WAS BASED OFF OF SLENDER! Oliver was kinda rolling around in my head as to what to design him and stuf if that makes sense and at the time slender man was in my head...along with another inspiration which i totally forgot who.... 0o
