With too many things happening at once it's difficult to keep up with it all. So here is a quick mini recap about the things I missed

As each April 1st rolls around, I find the gags are becoming more predictable and ultimately lacklustre. The only two that stick out in my mind are the Optimus Prime in Titanfall video and Capcom showing off a new Mega Man X design. Which caused the butthurt brigade to sing a full symphony over both of them!

Some people just don't have a sense of humour anymore.

2014: Everybody dies (Peaches Geldof, Mickey Rooney, Ultimate Warrior and Sue Townsend died)
As I previously talked about with the passing of James Avery, May Young, Harold Ramis, Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 and Dave Brockie/Oderus Urungus. 2014 is shaping up to be a pretty morbid year, in a similar vain to 2009. I'm not sure what supreme force in the space time continuum we upset recently but shit isn't right if you ask me.

I won't disgrace Peaches Geldof's memory with lies. In life, I found her to be a spoiled brat with the IQ the size of a peanut and given a news column when she didn't deserve or earn it. However even I wouldn't wish what happened to her or anyone like her.

Warrior's death came as a complete shock. It also made his final speech on Raw VERY chilling, given the right context.

I think anyone with an IQ higher than a brick understands "Wrestling is fake" and whenever I hear anyone say that I quickly say "Well thank you for that stunning revelation Captain Obvious!" Because saying Wrestling is fake is like saying "The English speak English" "Destiny is Destiny" or "Paris Hilton is a vapid cunt!"

So in this clip, Nancy Grace starts off by sarcastically saying "I didn't recognise you with your clothes on!" to DDP. This is actually kinda funny considering DDP tended to have more attire than say HHH or Stone Cold Steve Austin. The one argument she clings to is "OMG WRESTLERS TAKE STEROIDS!!!" kinda dies a miserable death (no pun intended) when one of the names features on her "died young due to steroids" list is Owen Hart.

For those who know wrestling know exactly why she's full of shit. For non wrestling fans I'll give it to you in a nutshell.

Owen Hart died by plummeting to his death in a freak accident involving a harness and a grapple line. Not steroids.

This is where you should instantly dismiss anything Nancy has to say. No seriously, I can stop right there. Claiming Owen Hart died from steroid abuse is like saying John Lennon was shot to death by the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers!

This is why I have no love or interest in mainstream journalism. They're presented with a story, then run the standard bullshit procedure of "THIS THING IN QUESTION IS TO BLAME!!" then bring in a parade of doctors analysis straight out of a clown car, then berate the guest on what "A horrible human being they are!" which is usually followed up by the "WON'T SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!" kinda arguments. While the clip isn't the full interview I would hazard a guess and say it would have gone there. It's the same shit when these "journalists" talk about comics or video games.

What I find disrespectful in this is the headline "WWE SUPERSTAR DEAD" not "ULTIMATE WARRIOR HAS DIED" or "James Brian Hellwig, aka The Ultimate Warrior has died" just a vague title that sends the message "We don't care about this!" These are typical mainstream vultures. Who leach off of tragedy or events for money! Only to swing a misinformed hammer of justice to keep the uneducated citizens of America in check!

So does Haruhi represent the entire nation of Japan? Or perhaps Homer Simpson encapsulates EVERYTHING about the United States or Dr.Who is everything the United Kingdom is as a whole?

No, of course not.

Not liking 2 or 3 awful Japanese cartoons does not translate to "I hate this nation and want to carpet bomb them!" but rather I find Japanese media to be deeply flawed LIKE THE REST OF THE WORLDS MEDIA!!!! I've said this before but when I was a little tyke, I didn't have Anime or Manga by the bucket loads as it is today. My earliest memory of Japanese cartoons was Samurai Pizza Cats during the mid 90's. That and I am a Super Hero Comic Book Guy because that's what I've always known. It's not to say I haven't delved into Japanese comics I just didn't enjoy them and stopped bothering with them all together. So to the weeaboo’s and Otakus out there. No I don't hate Japan. I hate some of their creations and I have nothing but contempt with your unhealthy obsession with their culture!

But to say I hate them as a whole... My Dragonball Z DVD collection would like a word with you.

I know this is a stereotype, but I'm beginning to understand why the Japanese hate foreigners! Mainly these ADHD fuckers who shout "KAWAII!!!!" on DeviantArt and have grander delusions that Japan is some earthly version of Heaven. Where all they do is eat Ramen, Cosplay and watch Anime all day. I guess it's the same generalization I see about England, except its Doctor Who, eat Fish & Chips and call each other wankers! Yet for whatever baffling reason, Avril is huge in Japan and this song is somehow for there enjoyment. Not sure why, I guess we all have our low moments.

About half way through this "song" I began to wonder if this was originally ment for Nikki Minaj, but she said "You know... this is too stupid even for me!" So they grabbed anybody desperate enough for a paycheque and to look like "Diet Gwen Stefani"

Maybe I'm being my usual cynical self, but if you look into her eyes in this video, it's like she's saying "I'm dead inside!"

So while I find this song to be utter dogshit, it pales in comparison to every awful record this walking punk cliché has released in her entire career. Disregard it; pay it no heed for it's only giving her attention she doesn't deserve. I do believe it was Triumph the Insult Comic Dog who summed her up completely.

Maybe I'm just being pessimistic about this, but if a game was truly awful that the company who made it BURIED NEARLY ALL THE CATRIDGES! Why would you go and actively seek it out? That would be like being told a serial killer lives in a forest, and you go into the forest to have a look!

My friends explained to me that this ET Burial Site became Urban Legend and its mystery was a defining moment of pop culture. I guess I understand that, but I just feel that unearthing an unwanted treasure is like being proud you found a dog turd.

Makes no sense to me.

Marvel are out of ideas.

It happens to everyone.

We all reach a point where our creativity dries up and we churn out dogshit. Sonic gave us Chaotix, Big the Cat, Shadow the Hedgehog, Silver the Hedgehog, Jet the Hawk ... okay bad example.

Bad ideas or lazy story angles exist everywhere. The Buu Saga, Axl, Red Hulk, Scrappy Doo, Raiden, Nero, Superior Spider-Man, Rodimus Prime, Modern Venom, Black Doom or the classic "THE DEATH OF" idea.

Yet Marvel are continuing the trend with the introduction of Silk. The SECOND victim of the spider that gave Peter his powers *gasp*

So this technically makes her a Spider-WOMAN. Not exactly a new or exciting concept considering these ladies already exist.

I know this looks like I'm sounding like a typical manchildian fanboy (Not entirely sure manchildian is a word but I want 50p every time somebody says it) by "NOT ACCEPTING CHANGE!!!!!!!1" but let me say this. Change can be good if it's done right or in a way that is new and exciting.

I may have laughed at the introduction of Miles Morales, but after reading up on him and the Spider-Men crossover. I like this kid. It's more of a fresh and exciting take on Spider-Man than the Ultimate Spider-Man stories with Peter Parker. Mega Man X is another good example of a change done right. Yet with Silk, for the time being, I don't see anything innovative or ground breaking about it.

Here's my reasoning.

#1 - It's tied into another Event.
Marvel are pumping out another event (despite claiming they'll tone these down) called Original Sin. Which by the sound of it and tone, sounds about as dumb as the Fear Itself event.... or Dark Reign.... or Civil War...... or Secret Invasion.... or Age of Ultron etc etc etc.

Spider-Man is about to be relaunched with Amazing Spider-Man #1 (why it can't be 701 is beyond me) and it's already pulled into this nonsense. I'd of kept Spidey out of Original Sin to re-establish him as a character and fix the damage Otto left in his wake.

#2 - It doesn't have any longevity.
I say that based on this quote.

"Silk is going to be a major Spider… character over the next couple years,”

So Silk will be important, for a couple of years. Then will likely be killed off or forgotten about. I tend to notice with Spider-Man especially, a new character is introduced and then before you know it is either gone or shoved to Z list.

I know this looks like I'm sounding like a typical manchildian fanboy (Not entirely sure manchildian is a word but I want 50p every time somebody says it) by "NOT ACCEPTING CHANGE!!!!!!!1" but let me say this. Change can be good if it's done right or in a way that is new and exciting.

I may have laughed at the introduction of Miles Morales, but after reading up on him and the Spider-Men crossover. I like this kid. It's more of a fresh and exciting take on Spider-Man than the Ultimate Spider-Man stories with Peter Parker. Mega Man X is another good example of a change done right. Yet with Silk, for the time being, I don't see anything innovative or ground breaking about it.

Here's my reasoning.

#1 - It's tied into another Event.
Marvel are pumping out another event (despite claiming they'll tone these down) called Original Sin. Which by the sound of it and tone, sounds about as dumb as the Fear Itself event.... or Dark Reign.... or Civil War...... or Secret Invasion.... or Age of Ultron etc etc etc.

Spider-Man is about to be relaunched with Amazing Spider-Man #1 (why it can't be 701 is beyond me) and it's already pulled into this nonsense. I'd of kept Spidey out of Original Sin to re-establish him as a character and fix the damage Otto left in his wake.

#2 - It doesn't have any longevity.
I say that based on this quote.

"Silk is going to be a major Spider… character over the next couple years,”

So Silk will be important, for a couple of years. Then will likely be killed off or forgotten about. I tend to notice with Spider-Man especially, a new character is introduced and then before you know it is either gone or shoved to Z list.

Like? Oh I don't know....

Toxin.
Jackpot.
Mr.Negative.
Anti Venom.
Carnage (for awhile)
Alpha.
Scarlet Spider-Man.
Shriek (for awhile)
Kaine (for awhile)
The Jackal.
Scorn.
Spider-Man 2099 (for awhile)

Shall I go on?

So once Dan gets bored with Silk. I wouldn't be surprised if she's killed off or down doing nothing.

#3 - The Dragonball Z effect.
“She got bit by the same spider that Peter Parker did and we’re starting to tease her story in every issue of Amazing Spider-Man.”

You remember when Goku became a Super Sayian? Remember how awesome that was? It was a unique thing exclusively to his character.... Then everyone became a Super Saiyan. What I'm getting at is a character or something stops being unique when you give others that one lone thing they possess. Like how everyone can do a Hadoken, learn Chaos Control or can absorb Robot Master powers.

It's why I try to only have one version of Vazul and not give him a sister, a son, an uncle or any of this bullshit!

#4 - It sounds like something off of DeviantArt.
Not to insult the good folks on DA who are capable of creating decent or original content. Yet the quote about how “She got bit by the same spider that Peter Parker did" sounds like it's missing something.

Here let me add something to it.

"She's Peter's long lost cousin who was kidnapped by the evil Norman Osborn, and she got bit by the same spider that Peter Parker did.... DO NOT STEAL!!!"

Adding into the fact they've announced the latest death of Wolverine and their 100th anniversary a few decades early, it shows Marvel has gone batshit insane.

So yeah. Not filling me with confidence on this relaunch Marvel.

You gave me what I asked for.. and asked "Do you want some bullshit with that?"

In closing: I felt like April was more tragedy than comedy. Another reminder why I hate 2014 with a burning passion at the moment!
