This was a fox that hung out at the condo we used to live at.There was a pool and hot tub area where she used to sleep and sun herself.
One day we went out to swim and there was a dead bird next to the pool on the cement. We had our dog Bailey with us and while we were hanging out, we heard this weird bark/yelp. It was the fox and she was super pissed about us being near that dead bird. Bailey usually barks at other dogs etc. but the foxes bark really confused her and she just tilted her head and stared.
The fox paced around the pool fence and barked from different spots around the property until we left...
The bird was gone shortly after we left...

Great photo - and grrrrreat title
Once I saw a life fox in my hometown, about around midnight. It was not much bigger than cat. Since foxes are expected to be shy of people except the have rabies (which they are famous for), I was glad I had the car around me

Actually we live next to a golf course that is only a mile from downtown Loveland, CO believe it or not.
It's weird, the things that wander in to town now and then.
The fox must have a den close to or right on the golf course though.
She had a few pups with her one year...
always a cool thing to see....

It can actually be a bad thing sometimes...There are some real creepy folk that like to kill them if they are within shooting range...what a shame...
I came out to our driveway one day and there was a goose foot sitting right in front of our garage. Freaked me out until I realized it was our little fox...
Never hurts to cut down on the over population of Canadian Geese, especially if it's done naturally....

how cool to have a fox right in the back yard. My folks once had a HUGE goose that wintered in their swimming pool. Spent about 2 weeks every year just floating around in the pool...must have been a goose-spa vacation or something. It finally stopped coming though...probably found a better spa.
