New personal work. Just watched the 2019 adaptation of 'The Lion King' and I immediately thought of the sequel right after. I think Disney might as well do part 2.Related content

As much as this film disappointed me, I woulds still watch a sequel to this film. Excellent realisrtic version of Kovu, and is gthat Zira I see in the shadows? Nice.

Why did it disappoint you?

I made a journal entry that goes into more detail and explains further of why I disliked it, but my main reasons were that the film was pretty much 95% the original dialogue/scenes with a CGI cover, as well as the fact that I could not get emotionally invested with he characters since they had no facial emotions and the scenes just felt rushed. In short, I'm technically glad I still saw it, but I was almost numb when I left the theater.

I think I can sum it up succinctly as a soulless copy of the original.

It's more almost souless in my opinion. I am still grateful for the extra scenes and dialogue, but nothing I could've gotten from looking up concept art or people's fan theories.

I would be veeeeeeery surprised if they actually decided to make a remake out of the sequel.... TLK2 is a direct to DVD sequel and therefore it isn't part of the classics ://
but your version of a realistic Kovu looks amazing! It's a beautiful painting!

I rather not see a sequel. There's to much anger around this film to make a sequel.

Man, we already saw how scraggly and desperate they could make Scar even in that realistic mold - now imagine Zira!

I would honestly be interesting in seeing a remake of 2. It'd be a good redeeming possibility for the tragic animated version. XD

It would be nice if they did TLK 2 too! (Though they should work on the expressions of the lions xD)
