I got excited about the news of a Lion King Live Action so I created this which is one of my favourite scenes along with Rafiki's No Look Backhand Punch.I've been very impressed seeing the live action Jungle Book but I couldn't help but think of a Live Action Lion King while I was watching it. To add that Jon Favreau will be directing makes me even look more forward to this

Well if the live action looks as good as this does, I think it'd be a smash hit!! Simbas eyes are perfect, not too realistic but not cartoony - perfect to where we can see that's definitely Simba!!

I'm looking forward to the live-action Lion King, myself, having seen (and *loved!*) the animated version. And Disney were the ones that produced The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. So here's hoping they take inspiration from the design of Aslan in that film.Β

Nice take on the scene, even if I disagree with Disney making live-action versions of their classic animated films. What's wrong with them being animated? It's yet another example of people considering animation an inferior art form for telling stories, which is, of course, not even remotely true.

Nah they've just run out of ideas and with the recent craze over live action Disney figured hey let's take some of our most popular movies and join in so pretty much what I'm trying to say is they like money but not coming up with new material

Its not that there being made because animation is inferior. This is just their newest money making scheme, just like all those direct-to-video sequels they were making in the 90s and 2000s. I also think Its wrong, but wrong for a different reason.

But why specifically make them live-action? It's obviously designed to prey on audiences who think "Eh, this crappy Disney cartoon's okay, but you know what'd make it great? Making it live-action like REAL movies!" They wouldn't make them live-action unless that was the specific attention, they'd just make animated reboots, sequels or remakes.

Well they cant do sequels, because again they already did that.
But Disney isnt denying there animated features either. If you Β would rather watch the classic films, its not hard, they get released on DVD and Blu Ray often enough and merch of them is still being made.

Yes, but then, Comedy Network has both Powerpuff Girls and Powerpuff Girls Xtreme on Hulu, and the original series is branded as "Powerpuff Girls Classic". They're clearly trying to push the reboot as "New and Improved," much like Disney's doing with its live action remakes.

This is really good,Lion King is my favorite Disney movie so I hope they don't mess it up, I have my faith in them for their work on Jungle Book. I hope this scene is included in the movie, I will laugh myself silly if it is.

I'm not a fan of this life Action idea, but your art is really impressive. But I really don't think I wanna see a life Action lion King. Just don't destroy my childhood memories. Haven't seen the jungle book remake too, to be honest.

The Jungle Book is surprisingly good and when I was watching it I couldn't help but think of a Lion King version. I totally understand your point of view though. I have no doubt that they can make it look amazing, it's getting the story to be great, that will be the difficult part.

I can't express how much I dislike the idea of "live-action" (since then CGI is "live"?) "Lion King", but that doesn't change the fact taht your drawing is really impressive.
