Description
A quick piece I did since I'm not doing anything right now. I'm starting to work on a personal project showcasing different dinosaurs in a theme park similar to Jurassic Park. Ichthyovenator is a smaller relative of Spinosaurus, Baryonyx and Suchomimus, and like them it primarily ate fish.Related content

Are they props in a museum? The enclosure seems quite small and there's no visible boundary between the visitors and the dinos inside there

This is amazing! The enclosure seems a bit small. Is this a closed off resting area, or where the animals go when is gets cold outside?

Perhaps they're in quarantine?Β

Very nice concept. I only recently stumbled across your illustrations and this project, I really like the idea and how you're depicting it! Maybe a bigger cage might be in order, though...

Thanks! I know a lot of you have been noticing that the enclosure might be too small for a large animal, so I am thinking of redoing this piece. I am also gonna be updating the look of the animal as I feel like it definitely has some inaccuracies

Looking forward to that for sure! I haven't gotten around to trying myself at a dinosaur park illustration so far, but seeing such great ideas always gets me motivated again!

Sooo..... Shouldn't they be in a tank?
(you should make it happen, hehe!)

Is that just like a beard on its chin, or did it just eat a tasty fish snack?

SO AWESOME!!!
People tend to rather pick mainstream species like Baryonyx or Spinosaurus for their park. So awesome, you chose the bizarre-sailed Lao species Ichthyovenator!^^

Hmm, pen seems a little small for such an animal.

There's a big door on the left where it enters and exits this exhibit area. It leads to a bigger enclosure... I haven't put the door entirely in this image. I guess I'll try and do some tweaking on that one

Hmmm... Mesozoic Land, I like it. Doesn't have quite the same ring to it as Jurassic Park, but it's more paleontologically accurate.Β
I look forward to the inevitable breakout

Poor Ichthyovenators stuck in that tiny little cage! Fab work though can't wait to see more of the project!

That was the exhibit/display area, there's a big door on the left side where it enters and exits to a bigger enclosure. It's just poorly detailed, I focused more on the dinosaur this timeΒ Β

Yes, it's still open to a lot of revisions or tweaking so I might change the composition soon.

Oh wow, this is really good for a 'quick piece'. Those Spinosaurus look amazing and very realistic!
