Description
This is my entry for #PrincessD95 's Design a New Disney Princess contest. fav.me/d5hn65qTHE SLAVE PRINCESS
J'hara was born on the world of ****, daughter of the king of her clan. At 16 her family were pressured into marrying her off to a member of the Trade federation to keep their mines out of the hands of the Hutts; Gangsters.
They refused and she was kidnapped as punishment and sold into slavery where she was forced to dance for her owner Jabba the Hutt.
But as a former princess she did not submit easily. She was willful and rebellious. She was also a source of strength and courage to the other slaves.
She met Lando Calrisian when he sought to infiltrate Jabba's Palace. He took to her immediately and she helped him pass as one of the guards. When he rescued Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia, he also rescued her and she free to retrun home. This she did reluctantly as she had fallen in love with the dashing scoundrel.
On returning home, she was betrayed. her brother J'brooke, had cut a deal with the Hutts. He was king at their sufference and the price was that the rest of the royal family was sold into slavery, except for the king and queen who were imprisoned in the palace dungeons.
Once again a slave, she was placed on the block to be sold; her heart broken. Then the auctioneer was suddenly revealed to be Lando. He had learned of her plight and come to rescue her. He put her over his shoulder and carried her off, deftly avoiding the guards and buyers alike. They escaped in his ship and rendezvoused with the remains of the rebel fleet fresh from destroying the Death Star and Emperor.
They travelled to **** and approached the royal palace with a vast army at their back. The Hutts took one look and fled, leaving the traitorous prince J'brooke to face his just deserts. Lando and J'hara freed the king and queen and threw the prince in jail.
With the danger over, J'hara and Lando were free to declare their love for each other and, with the blessing of the king and queen, get married.
******
Personality:
To start with J'hara is stubborn and wilful, even a little spoilt. This changes during her slavery. She retains her strong will but learns the benefits of patience and compassion. She learns to be a ruler in fact not just title.
******
I know that THE SLAVE PRINCESS isn't a very Disney title, call it a working title. The were others but for somereason or other I thought I'd better not use them...
Z'elda, the Twi'lek Princess
The Twi'lek Saga
******
I know the idea of a Twi'lek Slave Girl/Dancer isn't everyone's idea of a Disney Princess but bear with me...
Q) These are Star Wars characters/Settings.
A) Disney just bought Lucasfilm and Star Wars.
Q) How can J'hara be a Disney Princess. She's not Human.
A) Ahem... anyone remember The Little MERMAID
Q) She's a sensous dancer who flaunts herself. That isn't Disney-esque.
A) Esmeralda anyone? In fact the pose i have shown her in is from Esmeralda as I wanted to keep it in Disney limits.
Q) OK but she's a bit underdressed for a princess
A) Ariel wore nothing but a bikini top for most of the little mermaid, and the outfit is a direct copy of Princess Jasmine's slave outfit for the same reason I used Esmeralda's dance pose.
I will design her a Princess Dress at some point but this is what she would wear for much of the story.
Q) Lando is a Canon Character in another fandom.
A) Lando was never shown to be married or in a steady relationship. Pretty much every Disney princess is part of a canon fandom/fairy tale.
Q) Lando isn't a prince.
A) Lando is the ruler of Cloud City. He is young and unmarried. And, of course, he marries a bonna fide princess. Examples; Eugene/Flynn Rider, Aladin, Belle, Tiana, etc.

It's a nice premise, but Lando had many relationships and did get married, according to the canon. Meet Tendra Risant Calrissian: starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Tendra…
Aside from that, you do have a good basis for a Star Wars/Disney princess.

Thank you for the update, my information was simply from watching the films. When it comes to anything else, I'm never sure what's canon and what's not
I'm glad you like my slave princess concept

I used to be the same way, but ever since I started writing fanficition, I'be been doing a lot of fact checking.
Yours is an interesting concept since there reall isn't a disney princess type in star wars.

WOW. Nice creativity. And don't worry about her being sensual or whatever. I only really used the name of Disney Princess for the contest title just cause that was the first thing that popped in mind. I really liked that you went outside the box and even used other Disney princess as references. The story is really well done and I like how you incorporated Star Wars, that was really nice. And the slave princess is a perfectly fine title It's a nice raw title, and i don't know about anyone else but the title really drew me in. Again, great job, the creativity and storyline is really great
