I both love and hate this page. Significantly more love, though.
I adore how the script and character art came out. In fact, this style of visual storytelling is one of my favorite things. And this is the first page I've made since I got my screen tablet. I feel like the improvement is evident there.
But the backgrounds reminded me of an artistic weakness of mine. I have to work on them more. I want to find a style of background that fits me. Especially since every single page has been experiemental in finding it.
I still like natural environments being painted and buildings being lined to emphasize the whole "Arceus does not build in straight lines" kind of deal. But the way I paint isn't doing anything for me. And considering this is about 2 weeks late, it's clear that doing it that way is taking too long. I should experiment a bit...
Anyway, enough rambling. I hope you enjoy! I certainly love this page and what it means to come.

Is it just me, or the sign 'Route 29' red paint wasn't dry, or it just painted in blood?

It was sloppily painted and dried while running. Lol.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention! The expressions in this page really convey some very specific feelings. Rose's trepidation, [totodile]'s kind perseverance, and [chikorita]'s shock. Jason's anxious enthusiasm. It's wonderful. I'm also super curious about that mystery spearow! Such an adorable branch-sleeping position, and they seem pretty curious about the battle about to take place. A new team member, perhaps...? I'm excited to see how you handle new pokemon joining the team - if Jason will catch them first and ask questions later, or if they'll have a chance to decide what they want to do, and if they'll have goals and dreams of their own beyond "fighting for the team". Anyway, I'm getting ahead of myself because that might not be for a while yet. Bit I'm very keen to see it nonetheless!

I'm absolutely ecstatic I was able to convey those things understandably. Dialogue-less emotive scenes are one of my favorite things. But things can get lost in translation.

ROSE! Jason has Rose! This is so exciting, and a little heartbreaking, since the trio obviously don't want to be fighting each other. At least B... I forget his name (it's been a while, I'm so sorry!) is trying to keep it positive. You go, team. This is the start of a long journey and a lot of growth for all three of you! (Six of them, trainers included? The way you treat your characters, it's easy to see you won't neglect anyone's development throughout the story, even if certain characters will inevitably get the bulk of the screentime.)

It's totally fine! I don't conbstantly reference the names in my dialogue, so it's a bit easier to forget the ones not immediately obvious. (Silver, for example.)
I really should do something about that... lol

Poor Judith I hope Lyra is not to hard on her. I see the friendship between these three surviving this journey, if it weren't for the trainers. Jason and Lyra are not the problem, yes they may have a childhood rivalry but they would push their Pokemon to the point of killing or injuring each other, unless something very bad happens which is not impossible (or by accident), Silver is the one I truly scared about he is the wild card, he could have any goal and could be allied with anyone. He could still be allied with his possible father which scares me alot, or he could find him even worse, for example if Silver ran away. From what I have seen he could doesn't care about Pokemon as much as the other two, he could even see them as tool (please Arceus forbid). We are off to a good start at least these Pokemon don't wish to kill each other and may even refuse their trainers if they going to push them the point of killing one another. I really hope nothing goes wrong I really good but who am I kidding that will not happen this is a Nuzlocke after all, what is the fun in no one dying.
The last few panels are so cute to to bad they don't stay like that for long.

Re-read the prologue, then imagine through her eyes what this scene would feel like, first thing out of her Pokeball.
The whole context will make a lot more sense then.
