Description
Gunnery Chief: [as the character enters the Citadel] This, recruits, is a 20-kilo ferris slug, feel the weight. Every five seconds, the main gun of an everest class dreadnought accelerates one to 1.3% of light-speed. It impacts with the force of a 38-kiloton bomb. That is three times the yield of the city-buster dropped on Hiroshima back on Earth. That means- Sir Issac Newton is the deadliest son-of-a-bitch in space. Now! Serviceman Burnside! What is Newton's first law?Serviceman Burnside: Sir! An object in motion stays in motion, sir!
Gunnery Chief: No credit for partial answers, maggot!
Serviceman Burnside: Sir! Unless acted on by an outside force, sir!
Gunnery Chief: Damn straight! I dare to assume you ignorant jackasses know that space is empty. Once you fire this hunk of metal, it keeps going til it hits something. That can be a ship. Or the planet behind that ship. It might go off into deep space and hit somebody else in ten thousand years. If you pull the trigger on this, you are ruining someones day, somewhere and sometime. That is why you check your targets. That is why you wait for the computer to give you a damn firing solution. That is why, Serviceman Chung, we do not "eyeball it". This is a weapon of mass destruction. You are not a cowboy shooting from the hip!
Serviceman Chung: Sir, yes sir!
Ok, not my finest work but it whiled away an afternoon.
Again and as ever, Mass effect is awesome, and all owned by Bioware.

halo MACS shoot 600 ton and 3000 tons or 600000 kilos and 3000000 kilos so they win i think

Depends on the impact speed. If it impacts at around Mach 10 a 600 ton slug is roughly equal to 20 kilotons (I did the math in my head, IΒ΄m to lazy to go get my calculator, but it should be right scale of energy released). If the 400 ton slug impacts at 1 % of light speed it will be a lot of megatons, or perhaps gigatons (still to lazy to get my calculator), of force. I have heard somewhere that the MACs on cruisers, i think, impacts with a lot of megatons. Then, ultimately, if it impacts at 10 metres/second (around 33 feet) it would impact with only around two tons of TNT in force.

600 ton MAC- 30km a sec, 3000 ton MAC- 4% the speed of light or 12,000 km a sec, numbers come to 46.5 gigtons for the 3000 and 58.16 kilotons for the 600

How do I summon the UNSC as war assets in Mass Effect 3? They could one shot kill a REAPER!

sadly, the 3000 ton Super MACS are station mounted only, so if anything comes nearby they are screwed, otherwise you have to stick to ship mounted weapons.

admittedly the Mass effect versions fire much faster and have higher shell speed but well, truth be told, if I was given the choice, I would much rather be inside a CSO-class Super Carrier or a CAS-class Assault carrier than anything else in either Mass effect or HaloΒ

if you want more complete measurements, this pageΒ halo.wikia.com/wiki/CAS-class_β¦ has a picture in the gallery at the bottom comparing sizes of a CSO, CAS and a UNSC Infinity-classΒ

Also Halo, they are Covenant warships, of vastly different size, but virtually identical exterior. with the Assault Carrier being 5,346 meters long ( 17,540 ft ) and the Super Carrier being 28,960 meters ( 95,013 ft ) in length. and as far as Halo is concerned, they can wipe the floor with just about anything, the Super Carrier in particular would be able to handle entire fleets of smaller warships with out too much concern.
