Finally made one of Jules!!! I started this over a month ago when Shai was in California and since it was just a portrait speedpaint I figured I was allowed to finish it quickly. DON"T WORRY! I'm still working on comms! lol When I get stuck on them I like to work on other things. It helps me to get over the block. This actually came together relatively quickly anyway. :/ I think I over textured/sharpened though, but he's a bit aged, so it's kind of okay?For those of you who didn't read the info on the painting with him and Noelle: he's half native american and half black. I was just doing a normal pic of him and then I decided to do a "baron samedi" version as well since we're nearing a part in the story where they both attend a masquerade and he dresses like the baron because Noelle is obsessed with voodoo. We REALLY need to get this story edited and posted, it's so much fun to write. I'll post the regular version of this when I finish it, but I think I'll go back to work on the important stuff for now. XD
Also, I realize I LOVE doing portraits. <3

Haha, I know how that is. Whenever I posted a fic, I was like "Yeah well, this has to do" since we had some deadline or I was pressured to finally post it or whatever. I HATE it when I'm not content with something myself but everybody says it's great.
And yes, that really is ridiculous since hey, this is still all about fun, right?

Ugh! I know. This drives me crazy, but hey...if it's for somebody else and they're happy then I'm not going to kill myself over it. I tend to overdo it sometimes though and detail pics that aren't very much money, just because I can't stand to put out any shoddy work.

Well *laughs* I personally think your work is awesome and you (both you and Shai) have a good eye for people. And as you said, it's good if the "customer" is happy, eh? But I really know what you mean and things like that keep on bothering me too.
Still, it's so mean to see you doing all those people so 'easily' and I can't draw squad XD So basically even the worst thing you've ever done is great for me.
Btw, I know you hate 'em now but I do use one of your Chibis as a mobilephone background and I love it!

I don't really HATE them, but I don't like it when people fawn over them and then disregard the stuff I worked 10,00000x harder on, that's all. Besides I've improved alot since I was doing chibis so...

I understand that completely. I am easy, I can have fun with simply ballpen doodles Nicole does sometimes as much as with a great picture that took hours and hours to complete. I do acknowledge the work and see the effort and such, it's just that both have its own charm if you kno what I mean.
