Description Couldn't have put it better myself. Sure, it's highly unlikely that homosexuality is a "choice", but hypothetically speaking - what if it is? It's NONE of anyone's business as far as it's between two consenting adults, and you're no one to question their basic human rights. End of. Rest of it is irrelevant.

I had never thought of it that way. Thanks for the info.

If people want to spread AIDS, just don't leave the house. Steven Pinker needs to rethink himself as he's only making himself look bad.

I agree with this. But for me, I belive it can be, and when talking about myself, I think I was born this way. But for ANYONE it is a deep and personal decision to come out of the closet. But wither way, whose business is it anyway what goes on in the bedroom, or if they decide to hold hands, or give a kiss on the cheek in public?

Absolutely, it's "natural" is always a dangerous argument. Just because something is "natural" doesn't mean it's by definition moral or immoral, it's the sort of crappy reasoning used by fundamentalist homophobes.

Absolutely. Behavior and orientation can't be boiled down in such a simplistically reductive manner to just 'genes' anyway, no matter how often the scientifically illiterate try to do so. People need to learn that individual genes just express RNA and peptide chains. We are so much more than that, as complete beings with our own inclinations and desires, all of which have complex chains of development and origin. (Not to mention the issue the entirely separate issue of free-will, whether real or illusory.)
