Description
The Air Marine Assault Vehicle is a infantry fighting vehicle and tank destroyer used by the Arcean military. The great war showed that Air Marines as ground combatants forward of the main force would need their own fire support. While the airships that dropped them could provide, they were often too vulnerable and expensive to do their job efficiently. While Gun Cars were given to Air Marines after the war, the lack of armour or heavy weaponry limited the range of engagements they could handle.The AMAV is Arcea's first attempt at giving Air Marines real armoured direct fire support. Light enough to be carried in an Airturret and heavily armed enough to engage armor, it gives the Air Marines a distinct advantage. It's 20 mm canon can suppress infantry, and its Woomera can take down a tank in the right hands. Capable of carrying 6 Air Marines, as well as a gunner, loader and driver, and all of their equipment, the AMAV makes an Arcean Air Assault more than capable fighting independently of the main army for extended period of time.

Essentially, it's a truck with a gun on it. Not that this is by definition a bad design, but really, it's a truck with a gun on it. I actually rather like the simplicity of the design - it's a cheaply fielded flying artillery piece.

Engine is under the ammunition. Driver sits in the armoured cab on the front left. Not a great arrangement for a tank, but this wasn't meant to be a tank.

Well, the Sentinel exercises are for Union members. If you signed a collective defense agreement with a Union Member, they could probably get you in, certainly as an observer at least. But to ensure a spot, joining the Union would pretty much be the best way.
And that has all of the effects of joining the Union tied with it.

It's fun, but I think its systems are a bit too complex for its own good. None the less, it's very fun to throw on some crazy 4 v AI Co-Op either way.
