Description Song of the day [link]
Two RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force) F/A-25 D Super Diamondbacks from No. 75 squadron move in to attack a large wave of PLAAF bombers over Queensland.

At the beginning of WW3, Australia was thrust into the war by massive surprise attacks on Australian naval bases. China, reaching its breaking point on resources, was desperate, taking Australia as the only viable option. The RAAF was not prepared for war on this scale, having a mix of outdated F/A-25 A Diamondbacks and a handful of modern F/A-25 D Super Diamondbacks. In total, they had 150 fighter aircraft. The Chinese could easily field that many bombers in a single wave, not including escorts.

To make matters worse, after the devastating attack on Australia's major naval base at Cairns, the Australian military leadership came to realize that their radar system was incapable of detecting Chinese attacks that had proper EW support.

Because of this problem, the RAAF had to use it's Super Diamondbacks for long patrols, taking there most valuable units out of the fight. But with outdated land based radar coverage, the top of the line American radars of the Super Diamondbacks were the only way to detect attacks. After incoming enemies were detected, F/A-25A's would be alerted and scrambled. Unfortunately, unlike the D models, the A models were not capable of outfighting Chinese escorts.

After a few months of helpless struggle, the USN and RCN managed to break the Chinese naval blockade. Large shipments of F/A-25D's, were sent to Australia, as well as USAF and RCAF squadrons armed with F-27A's and CF-205 Mk.IV's.

Now with the OADC present, and the RAAF fielding a decent amount of modern aircraft, PLAAF loses grew exponentially. Sometimes entire waves of 100 aircraft would be lost in a matter of minutes. The Chinese were forced to call off the air raids only a few months later. The planned invasion was called off.

Well, this picture looks a million times better in it's physical form then it does on the computer. My scanner doesn't pick up colours to well. I'll play around with it and see if I can get a better version up later. For now, enjoy

Well, you should be able to tweak these issues with a good software.
