The voice of Trelane echoes throughout the decks of the Constitution and Reliant. . .
TRELANE: “Oh, rot! And Tut-tut, Captain Drake! Somehow you and Captain Franco managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, . . . oh, and without very much killing at all! Oh well, I suppose you did provide me with quite a show, and that is what I was looking for, after all. Now, I suppose I shall have to return Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, and all of those rather disappointing Imperials to just where I found them.”
There is a brief sound effect as Kirk, Spock, and the Imperial fleet are all returned to where they belong.
TRELANE: “There, it’s done.”
M-6: “The Imperial vessels have disappeared from our scopes, Captain.”
DRAKE: “Deprived of their weapons and shields, those ships won’t be of much use in the fight against the Rebellion, . . . at least not for a little while.”
TRELANE: “After this impressive performance, I guess my interest in humanity was perhaps rather well justified after all. This went so well, I may want to continue checking in on your little Federation from time to time, Captain. Until then, good-bye!”
Trelane’s glowing green image disappears from the viewscreen.
