The only thing that I think is really missing is apparent weapons emplacements.

Yeah, perhaps the weapons are retractable (like on the Imperial Raider) or perhaps they are very low profile. This model is based on the Imperial Interdictor as it appears in Star Wars Rebels, and I couldn't see any visible gun turrets anywhere on it. Even the Immobilizer 418 (a slightly different variant of the Interdictor) doesn't seem to have any visible gun turrets. Even where cannon emplacements are specifically called out in the official schematics, there is nothing visible there to see. But I'm not sure that is so unusual. While massive turrets are visible on the top of the classic Imperial I and II Star Destroyers, in the movies we frequently see blaster bolts emerging from all over that ship, with no clear indication of a weapon emplacement. I guess they just make the blaster bolts come from wherever it looks cool, and we are left to imagine that they are coming from either really small and/or retractable weapons ports.

That's what I like about Ansel Hsaio's models. Though it would be cool if they were actually modeled as retractable weapon emplacements, like hinted in Star Trek TOS.
I understand it could be a PITA though.

I REALLY LIKE THE REBELS VERSION of this ship.

Me too! It's got great proportions, interesting features, and pretty good lines for a star destroyer.

I KNOW! it proves that Disney could do SW ships right IF they want, unlike in The Last Jedi.

Which ships in "The Last Jedi" did you find disappointing?

The lack of imagination in the various designs all around. Granted the star-fortress was cool but most of the ships looked like floating junk or copies.
