Description

The Sphyrna-Class Hammerhead Corvette, or “Hammerhead Cruiser” was one of the first capital ships to join the Rebel Fleet in the fight against the Empire.

The Hammerhead is prominently features in episodes of Star Wars Rebels. The episodes tell the story of how a young Princess Leia “accidentally” allows three of these vessels to “fall into the hands” of Rebel Forces.

A “suped-up” 4-engine version then makes an appearance in Rogue One, making a significant contribution to the Battle of Scarif, by pushing a disabled Star Destroyer into another Star Destroyer. The resulting collision helps to punch a hole in the Empire’s defensive shield over the planet, tipping the tide of the battle.

The Hammerhead appears again in the climactic battle over Exegol in Rise of Skywalker.

This original 3-engine version is also featured in Fantasy Flight’s “Armada” miniature gaming system.
