Yeah. I don't draw Ed a lot. I mean, I do on the actual -show-, but you won't find him much in my sketchbook...I don't know. Don't get me wrong, I love him. Its just that everyone else already does so much with him. I feel like I miss the point when I'm trying to act with him. Bah. Still have to find some weird emotional "thing" about him that I can cling to to make me want to draw him more often.
I'll keep trying I suppose.

Crazy ol' Ed. He is one of my favorite characters. Him, Double D and Rolf.

i love Ed because his eyes don't obey the laws of physics, every time his eye flings off of his head, i crack up.

he's the hardest to draw 3:< i get frustrated tryin to draw him. Its mostly because I make him look too much like Plank grrrr

One thing i've found about ed is the fact that deep down he really is smart, it just doesn't show up much. I guess its because he's grown up in a house where he was either ignored or bullied, so to both entertain himself and blot out the pain he just ignores whats going on around him and creates his own world. He only accasionally snaps back to reality to say something really random and weird that only makes sense to him.
I mean just look at his eyes, he's so removed from reality that he doesn't obey the laws of physics!

Good grief, that sounds like me, only I'm not ignored! O_o Still, gotta love Ed. ^__^ He's a real funny guy, and he can relate to some.

An emotional thing you could focus on is that Ed's family seems to cherish and love Sarah more than Ed. If you ask me, he actually seems to be ignored. I mean, if I were Ed's parents, I would be like, "Oh my god, BATHE, child!" but they just don't seem to care at all.

I've noticed that about Ed, too. 
"He (Ed) could remain a perpetual mope! Do you -realize- how miserable our lives would be?"
I do wish we could have explored him more within the actual series. It seems like so many times, he was just the easy "gag" guy.

Ed is such a lovable oaf isn't he? I'd hug him if he didn't smell so much sometimes.
Nice sketches of him, you always capture them so well. I'd like to see Rolf. =x He's always a favorite of mine, mostly due to how he talks.

Ed is my favorite. He does the most random and stupid things. I like the fact that Ed and Edd sound the same and they're polar opposites.

if it helps i always thought ed would have a reason to be that a drift from reality and so emotionaly attached to his friends

Very nice sketches.
It's hard for me to get excited about him, too.
But I think I've thougth of something.
He really is a sweet guy and has good intentions, so just keep that in mind.
As dense as he is, he always has the best intentions and puts his friends first.
Just thought that might help.

I always like Ed aside of Eddy. My favorite episode was when Ed was really pissed off(but really pissed off) when we realize it was a tiny rock inside his shoe that it was making him really angry.

At my old job I was told by a coworker that I should use deo, cuz people came to her and asked her to tell me, all the time...
I didn't even want to brush teeth untill I was like 16 becuase I somehow had the clever idea that I was partly wherewolf and those don't need to brush teeth.

Haha!!! Dont talk to me about school plays.... i was always the one who read everything.. all i ever wante to do was act, but i had to stand at that microphone and read.... urgh...
i was an angel in the nativity play though! (i picked a fight with the angel next to me during the actual play... and the baby jesus's head fell off)

I shall when I go to my moms palce again, oh lord, do I miss that age 11-14, it was so cracked and you where so brave to seek out adventures. ^^ Another reason why I love EEnE, it brings back memories.

ohhh I was a dinosaur at the schoolplay x___x Everyone else where dressed out like cavemen/women and I was the voice the dino made.. I had to hide behind a bush and roared like crazy, cuz that was the only thing I was seriously good except drawing. 
Man I should seriously scan that, it's pretty brilliant.
