Hiiii ! So yeah, I wanted to upload you the " making of " of my Eiserne Drossel.EDIT : OMG!!!! IT'S FINALLY DOOOOOONE!!!! After all this tiiiiime!! After something like 10 months XD HOORAY! Enjoy it
If you have any comment or advice to give me, DON'T HESITATE.

ATTENTION : The result is very nice and all, but don't forget that the foam is FRAGILE. Do ANYTHING to protect it when you're in a convention. Mine broke 3 times ( 2 times at the same place ). Two times at one of the biggest arrow, and one of those time was at the con, someone hurt me and I droped it on the floor. The arrow was already broken, and it broke again right before the masquerade.
It's awesome for beginners and photoshoot, but for cons, I strongly recommand you to use resin to make it harder, or else you should make it in wood. ;D

hiya its me again how i cant find any really thick or big enough foam so what can i use instead (except wood) could gluing 3-4 work??

Issshhh, that's a good question. I've taken my foam at the nearest HomeDepot and had to stick two part together. It's made for the house, but is the best to make weapons.
Except wood or foam, I don't really know, seriously. You can still use a hoola-hoop and take some foam sheets to cover it. Paper machΓ© can help the foam to take the form you want it to take ( and make the blade effet like this ). Just make sure every sheets are binded together. It's gonna be kinda fragile, but can make a very nice effect.
It's gonna be long and need a lot of sheets, but it can do the job.

You cut the ringblade on the side to make a 3D effect, the shape of a blade =o

What kind of foam did you use? It turned harder when you put the papel machΓ©, or something?

It's wasn't hard at all =o
It was a foam I bought at " Rona l'entrepot ", I can't really tell what kind it is 
It's really strong, I don't have to worry about it breaking

Yeah and because it's more easy to paint
In fact, paper machΓ© is more used to help it look more uniform ( and to delete the defects in the foam )
After that I use with glue to help it in this way, and to make it harder
You could also use resin if you don't want white glue, but it cost a lot more ^^
