It's amazing how the things we grow up with can have such intense impacts on us as adults. I've never been happier with my professional choices in life, and Ratchet is still one of the most influential and important people I can think of. ; u ;

Oh, absolutely. People have found inspiration in figures, both fictional and non-fictional, throughout time. Sure Ratch is a fictional character, but he still represents a personality that has virtues which can be replicated in a real sense; and I respect him just the same as I would a living individual.
You're completely right too - I think a lot of us still hang on to that spark of youth throughout our lives. It's great to remember that life isn't always as serious as we worry it is. =u=

Where did you get your Perceptor? I luv him. And I saw Dark Awakening (before I knew EVERYONE who died in 1986) and I died a little when I saw Ratchet and Ironhide's names on the tombs. FOR THE SAKE OF MONEY and I resaw the movie recently. Worst mistake of my LIFE. I recognized all the characters who died and I loved a lot of them. When Arcee dragged over the mech's body.. I saw Wheeljack's empty frame and I started bawling

I've had my Perceptor since I was a kid actually; he's easily more than 20 years old. I think my grandparents got him for me at some long-gone toy store, like KB or Wound&Wound. So, other than online marketplaces, like eBay or Amazon, I really couldn't tell you where to look; sorry. =n=

Seeing them go down the way they did was shocking and really sudden. I don't think Hasbro anticipated the level of fan reaction that came of it - they were just paring down characters who's toys weren't selling as well. Which sucks. ; n ;

My mom got TFTM for me the day it came out because I hassled her to the ends of the Earth about it. I couldn't wait to get it home. My parent's used to have this fantastically-early-80's orange shag carpeting, and it was just FULL of my transformers. Just everywhere.

I plan on getting SNDWVE for my liscence plate. and the first time I watched it, i didn't know half the characters, so i wasnt so affected. Oh, and too true, they did. Just too overly concerned with their bottom line of making a few extra bucks. How stupid they must have felt to have gotten the backlash on that decision; realizing they killed off some of their most popular, iconic, characters.

At least we get new and awesome series that restart the mythos all the time though. I am absolutely loving Transformers: Prime. It is such a quality programme. Great storylines, character development, voice talent, art design, music...it's got it all.

I know right? TFPrime is awesome. I cant wait for tonight's episode. I absolutely love how they designed Shockwave too. Soundwave is as awesome as ever.. and Megs has to be my favorite Megs outta all of them. Optimus is a bit too serious.. and Ratchet is my favorite Ratchet.

Ohmigosh, I was so happy to see Shocks back; he's one of my favorite Decepticons, and his design is so killer. I really love Soundwave's overall look too; it really compliments his silence, and I just can't get enough of his long arms and tiny fingers, haha. Everything about this Ratchet is just amazing to me, I love; especially that voice, so great! I've also completely fallen in love with Smokescreen, haha. He's such a 'Hot Rod', but I don't know, I'm just so drawn to him! *u*

Shocky is my second fave D-con after Soundwave (completely in love with G1 SW) And IKR? LOVED his design. Yeah. Love the silent killer look about him. I LOVE RATCHET'S AWESOME VOICE. It's also in TMNT, Dr something-cant-remember-his-name's voice. I didn't like the whole Hot Rod Rodimus Prime thing. My dad agrees with me, as he was the one who got me into TF. Rodimus Prime= bad. Optimus Prime= good.

Haha, well with that I can certainly agree with you; I didn't care for Rodimus's time as Prime, but to be honest I don't really think he did either. He always seemed too unsure of himself and I think it has to do with becoming a Prime just too soon for his own good. I mean, sure, maybe he displayed the appropriate heart and courage for the position - at the time - but once Unicron was out of the picture and things returned to a more 'everyday chaos' he just didn't possess the wisdom or patience to handle it all with any real grace.
Optimus is truly the greatest Prime, at least that we've ever known. =u=

They do always say that. The way I've always interpreted it was that once upon a time, before the war ravaged their people and Cybertron fell, that there was some known successor(s) to the Matrix. Now that Autobots are scattered to the stars and many have been killed, there's no longer any sort of uniform way to pass on the Matrix, nor is there any cultivated pool of possible successors. It's more desperate now and Optimus may not actually have a completely worthy successor to his Prime-ship. So he's more or less "the last of the Primes" in the face of that uncertainty.
