: D thanks! Most of Super Metroid scared me when it first came out [I was only 9 at the time], even though I loved it at the same time, haha. Draygon in particular used to really freak me out - so I had a really great time with this one! : )

Age aside, I definatly think Super Metroid was the scariest of all of them; Prime fills a close second though - seeing all of that chaos and viewing all that alien atmospheric surrounding straight from the visor really put it in a whole new perspective. But Super Metroid really had it all. Terrifying creatures rendered in great detail, unnerving music that just crawled under your skin, and surroundings that really looked - and in Maridia's case before the Gravity Suit - felt believable. Hell, it's still winning gaming awards to this day. : )

I can't imagine she'd look back on her battles with these monsters without feeling at least some sense of amazment. I mean, these creatures were massive and totally unrelenting. I remember being totally terrified of them when I first played Super Metroid as a kid; despite how much I loved them all at the same time. : )

I do the same thing myself! I'm playing SM for the 2nd time and it seems like that I'll never stop playing it! XD
I have a list of other games that I can't stop playing because they're fun, but SM is the only computer game that I like to play. (all thanks to Vimm's Lair and the SNES emulator I have.

: D He seems to have been everyone's hangup, it looks like. Maridia was one of the hardest levels, in my opinion. It was very confusing, difficult, and once you finally did find Draygon, unless you eletrocuted him with a little grappling beam trick, he was easily probably the hardest boss in the game [perhaps the ugliest too. X D]

I love Super Metroid... am I the only one that thought it was cool that they kept Samus' blaster on the correct hand when you turned around instead of just flipping the sprite?

Well, after I defeated Kraid, I could never seem to figure out what to do next. The only other things of note I did was defeat the Spore Spawn and Crocomire, but, after Big, Fat, and Ugly, I just got stuck.

Well, nothing to take any shame in, really; Super Metroid was a really difficult game. Still, easily, my favorite video game to date though. : D

Oh ya? How far did you ever get? Draygon was an extremely difficult boss; even after you found out a trick to beating him, executing the trick was a challenge all it's own, and if you didn't do the trick, fighting him as he was was almost impossible. Fun guy, that Draygon. X D

lol, ya. But it did feel good, ya know, all after being shocked by the sheer size of Kraid, wedged into a corner by Spore Spawn, agitated by Phantoon, terrified to all hell by Crocomire, and bothered to waste time with Botwoon, to be able to just totally slam the door on a boss. X D
