I've been having fun lately taking my favorite tv characters and putting them in interesting environments. Pee-Wee Herman is so precious to me, the kitschy imagery, his wild sense of humor.Paul Reubens is a darling. Pee-Wee only had to be himself and nothing else mattered. And Paul is doing some awesome stuff with the character, lately!
and he's connecting the dots in outer space.
Pee-Wee Herman and the Playhouse belong to Paul Reubens, but he doesn't own outer space yet. He'd probably make it a lot of fun, though.

Marvelous. I've been looking through your whole gallery... Pee Wee's Big Adventure is one of my most memorable movie experiences! This is a great piece, and I'm glad to see that you took the character and changed the appearance a bit to make it your own distinct creation. Thanks for the nostalgia, and great gallery! Wow. This looks very expressive and full of "personality" if you ask me. The colouring is quite superb with a traditional medium. And I can say it's rather difficult to get the paint going in real life rather than using digital colouring. The only thing I can see that seems to be out of place is that his arms seem to be longer than his legs. Which kind of gives him a chimp-like stature.

Thanks! I appreciate it. It's funny, I went to digital for a while and found that my colors were more expressive, and now I'm using that knowledge for my traditional stuff.
and yeah, his arm looks a bit off, you're right. It's a bit different from the ref I used, which is distorted anyway because it's a photo. My only defense is that I probably won't be making any money from it! so I don't feel so bad
