Wow, this was very helpful. So...since I have Adobe Photoshop CS3, it'll probably not work for me, right?

Also, you see your lineart you scanned in? Was that just in pencil and by doing the "audio contract/value", did that make the lines darker and look more professional and clean with out you having to go over everything single line with you brush? I am new to Photoshop, so I do not understand much about it, so if you or anyone could help explain, I would really appreciate it

Great tutorial and I plan to use it, once I figure it out, lol

You could use image > adjustments > level or image > adjustments > brightness/contrast in Photoshop to adjust your lineart to be more cleaner after scanned it ^^ I have explained these in step 1 & 2 ^^ I guess all Photoshop has the same basic : )

how do you draw the face, body, pose and background? T_T I wish you would make a tutorial for that. I am hopeless at drawing from scratch. Pleeease.

Hmm.. It would be useful to me if i only knew the right way to scan, upload the picture scanned and take it from there. Other than that, pretty followable

Hey Ray, This is Seiaeka from Gaia Online (LAB 305 lurker), I was wondering if you ever ink any of your drawings or if they are all drawn in pencil?

No, I was not asking for an Inking tutorial. Kyou has one already that really helped me a lot.

I wanted to know if yout "Prepare Lineart Tutorial" was for pencil drawings or for inked, and if it works with pencil drawings.

Very nice That's a very good way to get rid of the white background, thank you I usually sketch on the PC but I suppose I could put my poor scanner to use some time. It's been neglected ever since I got my tablet
