Description
Newgen [link] is an application that brings the new Metro UI to your desktop.It is a set of live widgets/tiles that shows some content from the web and some from your PC.
Newgen supports WPF, HTML5, and HTML widgets.
Note: you must install .netframework4 to use this app.

Nice work man, galing mo. I found a bug every time I drag the screen the a black time and date appears in the bottom left and cannot be closed. Hope you fix that soon enough. Cheers!!

salamat pre. hindi, di ako ngttrabho dun. stable na kyalang sa ibang comp may problema. dlawa lng kmi gumgwa nito, tapos ngkasakit pa'ko kya tumagal ung next release namin. na-fix na namin halos lahat ng bugs. baka bukas irerelease na namin ang bagong version. since gamit kona ngyon ang develepers preview release ng windows8, lalo pa naming magagaya ang windows8.

Hey, Thanks for posting. I tried it ans it appeared quite buggy on my desktop with a lot of error-messages. And I still don't know how to arrange the tiles on the screen. Hope there will be an update soon.

The actual windows developer preview of windows 8 has not been leaked. It is an official download from microsoft.
You said you are enjoying the real windows 8 now.
Let me ask you what the hell is so enjoyable on that piece of crap?
I've tested the wdp of windows 8 myself and I am very disappointed at what microsoft has in development there.
Microsofts original metro ui is a catastrophe.
Very horrible to handle.
The mix of old desktop design and the new metro ui doesn't work for me.
I will stay with windows 7 and your newgen project, wich is much more efficient to handle than the microsoft crap, until the rtm of windows 8, which I will test again then.

gunna test this out cuz it intrigues me but I'm still feeling bleh about the changes to Windows 8. But perhaps checking out a taste of what this new format is like will warm me up to it cuz for now I'm like nevar. Looks cool though to say the least. I give lots of props to ya!

Thanks my friend! We really worked hard with this app. Actually we have 2 more apps to be release that we're working on. The "MetroDock" and the one is the cairoshell. we'd like to continue cairoshell.
Now that win8 arrived, Newgen 6 will much look like win8 nui than the previous versions. We will continue it for those who don't want to use win8 since it's still on beta stage.
