It was sooooo long time ago I drew Kaira (Kahan x Aira-ty) and I really missed drawing them, but like when you have so many ideas and so many things to draw?? Especially when you have a hundred characters and want to draw about all of them but then end up always drawing about only one of them... x'DBut lately I was re-watching TCW and I read a couple of new comic books from that era and now I'm re-reading my ooooold writings so really got in the mood eheh. Not to mention watching the Mandalorian made me want to draw my mando girl even more... xD
This was actually only a practice to pick up the old characters again, I'm not really satisfied with how this turned out but hey I need to practice drawing them again. When I drew them constantly some years ago I had a slightly different art style yet so it is definitely interesting to see them in this 'evolved' style.
Also I'm sure Aira-ty is giving a lecture to this jedi about life and fighting and mando stuff, blabla in a "you're doing it all wrong' style... xD While Kahan is doing his usual polite "I'm sorry for being a dumb jedi, commander" cuteness hehe.

I was literally looking through your gallery yesterday to get a clear view of their armor. Especially Aira-ty's since Kahan's is basic storm trooper with a jedi vest and no helm. Funny how that turned out you post a clear frontal view the very next day
You wouldn't by chance have a turn around in full body for her, would you? I'm working a custom set of Monster High dolls for Slade, and these two are next in the trio.

I made my own Aira-ty doll and Tora doll but never finished them...... Like Aira-ty is almost done but I never dared to repaint the face, also the hair is a disaster... TwT For Tora she only has the hair so far (which is quite good I think), but no armor or anything yet ugh...
But sorry sorry back to the topic. I don't think I have Aira-ty's design from behind but I definitely have a front view. I'll try to collect some ref pics for you and get back to you, ok?

I needed inspiration to practice custom dolls, and he suggested a trio based on all your guys' stories.
I just finished Gou-jia the other day, and I think I'll do Kahan next since he'll be my first male doll. I have the base for Aira-ty prepped, but I can't decide if I wanna keep the original doll hair or completely reroot it. And of course I'll have to sculpt her ears and so on. Her armor is the most unique, so any help would be highly appreciated.

I seriously love how Guo turned out, she looks amazing!! I'm very jealous actually.. x'D
For Aira-ty it depends what kind of hair the doll has originally. I rerooted my doll's hair but sadly the quality of the hair is atrocious... T___T It looks and feels very cheap, well duh it was cheap... but I didn't find anything in this color with better quality, I'm very sad about that...
Also I didn't get to repaint the face yet, I'm very-very anxious about doing that step... And she isn't completely finished, I left some problems unsolved yet... x'D But I chose a doll with pointy ears (not long ears like hers but hey I'm willing to have a compromise) and a fitting skin color so that wasn't a problem for me.
The armor I made out of fun foam sheets, I guess it's called in english.
I collected some ref pics that might help, including ones of my doll attempt. But I didn't put on the armor piece to the back of the doll, because the velcro would have been in the way... And I wanted to be able to dress my doll.

Ah, I see. Lovely work on that armor! I'm also going to make it out of craft foam (I know it as Faomy Board, since that's the brand I get it in) but this is a great help to see what direction I can go with for the armor. Thank you very much for sharing your doll. I hole you'll manage to complete her some day. Painting the face is daunting, but it's not as bad as you might think. Worse case is you wipe it off and start over. And you can always have a dummy doll to practice on. The one you won't care if the head gets stained and so on.
My doll base is a lot more purple than the Draculara you used. It's hybrid of a Monster High head on a, Ever After High body. Even though I know she's more a periwinkle skin tone, Slade always revered to her overall race as Purple Skinned, so I'm taking a little artistic liberty to play on that.
I think I'll reroot her hair after all. The factory glue is making the initial hair a little oily, and my rerooting method doesn't need glue which will be better overall for the doll.

Alright, I figured it would be the easiest to work with that foam thingy for the armor and it wasn't that difficult luckily. We will see, if I manage to collect courage to actually do the face... TwT But yeah I actually have a bunch of spare cheap heads to practice on, but I need to buy a good varnish which sadly isn't really available in my country... Also it is damn expensive, so it also holds up my progress...
Oh? Well, as you see on my drawings Aira-ty isn't all that purple... She simply has a bit more colder skin tone not that warm peachy tone, but nowhere near actual purple or blue, it's still pretty human like. Also Slade loves to tell others how he interprets my characters as if it was an actual fact which I'm not always happy about, since he doesn't know them as well as, shocker, their owner...
But maybe you could wash the hair? To get rid of the oily feeling? Just to save you a lot of work. I know I almost died doing the rerooting... Like, damn I have no patience for that stuff... x'D That's why I'm so happy I didn't have to reroot Tora's hair... But I still will need to do Kallus' head... ugh......

FUCK YEAH! I remember seeing these characters of yours from years ago, and just falling in love with them! This plus your clone troopers are some of the reasons I got into drawing at all! They were a great deal of inspiration, and seeing you come back to them is just awesome! Keep it up!

But yeah I totally missed them but I'm like not being able to maintain each story line at the same time sadly... I was trying but failed... But I'll try again! I feel refreshed and full of ideas, I really hope I can keep up drawing more and more about each character I want to draw about!

To help draw more than one character, you could draw character only on certain days example: Monday - Aira-ty, Tuesday-Tora, Wednesday - Your clones, etc.
