Description It's done!!!

Again, I'd like to thank everyone for the critiques. This little guy is 20in. long and 9in. high. The wood was salvaged and I don't know exactly what they all are. There's walnut and sapele in it. Don't ask how long it took, I lost count.

Very cool! I remember Leviathan as the sea serpent that God, according to legend, created to rule the oceans and seas. He also created a second Leviathan, albeit a female one, but soon destroyed her, fearing that the two Leviathans would breed and take over the world.

To get the scales right I use paper to get the size and shape than burn them out with a laser.

I commend you for your amazing patience as its evident by this amazing piece of bad-assery!! XD lol I know little of wood work, and this... well i just don't know how you even started! e.e do you have some kind of in progress set of photos, or some kind of tutorial like thing that could tell me? I'm just amazed! was this all carved, or was there some kind of base piece that you built around? Please, I'm extremely interested

I wanted to get better at making them before I made a tutorial. ( work the bugs out of the process ) I was planning to do one more dragon bust and do a walk through. This is a new type of woodworking for me ( not like turning bowls ) and I want to make it right.

Incrediable work and beautiful as well! I adore the multitude of woods and all the details This may be the most impressive example of wood working i have ever seen. I wish i knew how to even get started in wood working it is such an amazing craft! Congrads on the DD!
