Description
This dragon is about 7inches tall. Made from sapele, maple, walnut, and blood wood. I lost count on how many pieces are in it because of the scales. The back and front scales were boiled in water and formed to the piece.Related content

Did you laser cut the scales or did you do them by hand? Looks like a lot of work! This is beautiful.

After I make a design from paper I'll use a laser to make the scales.

Unfortunately I can only take credit for the photography and not the carvings. The carvings were all carved by Ernest "Mooney" Warther {now deceased}

Oh yes, all wood. It's finding the color wood I need to get what I want in the dragon. I just wish it didn't take so long to make them.

I wish I was better at taking pics, so the grain of the wood showed better. I'm just soooo happy to be done with a project I run outside, take a pic and than sit and rest. (Tooo many scales) By the way thank you for all the favs. It's a nice complement, I've seen your work and love the color in you art.
