Steaming up the grade.I am currently shooting a layout that is being torn down for Model Railroader.

Nice rock work too. I like steam when it comes to seeing it run but I have my appreciation for diesel. Where I work I'm about 300 yrds. and in full view of the upstate NY branch of the CP rail line so I see trains every day...makes my hubby furious, lol!

I am with you, steam doesn't do much for me. I have seen them run and yes they're cool but there is a reason they died out. I guess I like the facts that the diesels are so much more powerful and effective towards hauling today's loads. It could be too I can relate to them as I wasn't born in the days of steam.

Oh I like steam but you don't see it anywhere anymore...i'm the nostalgic type myself but like my hubby I use the motto any train anywhere...

Well your always welcome at my place to run. I am really starting to think I need to get some scenery down on the sections I know will stay. I also want the left top side of my layout when entering my layout room to be modeled like the Palouse. With the grain silos and all my grain cars I think it will look sharp.

Are you going to be happy enough with your layout the way it is to not want to tear it all out about the time you get done wit the scenery?

I wish I had the money to build a layout... and the space to do it. Pictures like this make me itchin' to build my own design and run on it with friends.
