Description
There has been a growing amount of people who tell me that I have to smile and shit...SO HERE IT IS, OKAY!?!
Inspiration for the concept taken (*cough*ripped*cough*) from this one and that does't mean I like the shitty titans just because I fav'ed the picture! I've just seen enough episodes of T_T to relate to it and shit
SO HOW YOU ALL LIKE MINE SHINY TEETHS!?!!
[BONUS MINI-JOURNAL]
So Today I just decided to make this thing instead of something else I had on the plan. Today!? What am I talking about, school starts in less that three hours..
Anyway, to those I got kiribans for I'm gonna try to at least have one of them done this weekend, and the other one done out somewhere in next week.. I got a comic that I actually should've finished some 2 weeks ago that I havn't, and to be frank I have little energy left for finishing it, I'm so tired of working on it, it's like colouring 53 separate pictures and then use even more time to put it all together!!! ARRGH!!!
But it's good stuff so I'll do it even if it takes me the whole year because of wrathful laziness and other shit
and I really did a bleh job with the background on this one, couldn't think of anything better, I'm a little tired right now..
I hate being tired!! There are so few times when tired feels good! For example when you're going to bed and just forget all your worries, I hate that even though I love it!
Giving in to the desire of sleep is a fuckshithack thing that cannot exist in me!!!
OTHER THAN THAT I HAVE NOTHING MORE TO TORTURE YOUR LOUSY EARS WITH!!! BEGONE AND HAVE SOMETHING!!!

Well to be perfectly honest with you I think and I hope religion will slowly fade away from human history, but I'm not aggressive about it, my grandparents went to church, my dad believes in a very odd interpretation of Christianity from the bible, something that includes spending time in heaving equal your time spent here on earth and then being reincarnated, he's also of the belief that allt he religions of the world is basically different people from different places in history and different places in the world have interpreted the same ever-present omnipotent superior being that Christians call God, jews call Yahweh and muslims call Allah etc etc, suffice to say he's quite liberal in his belief. My dad has 3 kids with my stepmother, who he now has been living with for like 15 years I think, but for instance they haven't married yet, he does say he prays every now and then, at special occasions, but he doesn't go to church. And then there's me, from the third generation of the family, I'm quite atheistic indeed, but I'm agnostic enough to believe there is a god if I feel it's been properly scientifically explained to me.
As to why I doubt the existence of God, I'm sure you've heard all manner of atheist arguments in your journal there (I saw it had 187 comments so I imagine you've had quite a lot of flak to take care of there), but to put it shortly I don't see that God has given me any reason to believe in him as of this point, I have witnessed no miracles and what little I did participate in Church related activities (I was a devout and dedicated christian until I was about 15 years old) haven't made me feel gratitude toward anything except maybe the people who arranged it. I remember I sincerely tried to quit masturbating during the years between 13 and 15, and it completely ruined me psychologically, the physical urge was too much to handle, I'd maybe go a week or 2 without doing it and then my willpower wouldn't stretch and I'd beat myself up constantly for being a weak piece of trash, not being able to quit such a simple little thing.
And then there's the matter of the bible, supposedly written around 2000 years ago, and then it's been rewritten and edited countless times up through history, there must be dozens of different versions of the bible around by now. And I just can't accept something like that to be the "literal word of God", if it were it should have been forever true and good and unfailing no matter what.
But I find it so much more likely that what was written so far back is highly doubtful to be telling the truth because we then didn't know that things like lightning was created by cold and warm clouds hitting each other at enormous speeds, etc etc. Simply put humans had such an incredibly smaller pool of knowledge back then that it's easy to fill in holes of unexplained phenomena with claims of miracles and divinity and God cursing the land and whatnot.
Wow I realize this explanation didn't turn out very short at all xD
But yeah, I guess that's the gist of it at least

Actually, that was the new testament that was written 2000 years ago.
Well the cell theory, which is accepted by a lot of secular scientists, says that cells can only come from pre-existing cells. That means that life can only come from life. So that kinda destroys evolution right there, since it contradits that accepted theory. Then there is the fact that there is design in the universe. In the course of human history, absolutly nothing has been made without precise placement and design. Since things in nature have precisly placed parts, and those parts have to be like that or else the living thing falls apart, then why would something with design not be created by an intelligent designer. I can tell you one thing, you will never get design by just leaving the parts by themselves.
Well you might not have seen miracles in your lifetime, but those secular eye witness accounts of seeing Jesus walking around after he had died pretty much says something.
The big bang theory doesn't quite explain everything since it doesn't explain were that matter used in the big bang came from. Everything in the universe had to come from something. (this is where it gets complicated, so pay attention) Since everything inside the universe is finite it needs a begining and needs a starter. God is completly seperate from his creation and therefore doesn't need to be created. Basiclly, he's outside the universe. Here's something I learned in my humanities class while studying aristotle. Since there is a vast amount of power in the universe, there must be an equal or greater power to supply it, if there is design in the universe, there must be a designer. Design doesn't come from non-design. That's like saying a designed building got it's design from random parts being thrown at each other.
Here's a phenomina that's in the Bible that I highly doubt could be explained with anything besides God. A prophet of God tries to prove that his god is the one true God by saying he can ask God to throw down fire from the sky and hit the alter. The false prophets tried to do it with their gods, but nothing happened. Then when the prophet of God asked God to throw down fire from heaven, God immidiatly zapped the alter alight. I know what you're thinking, "Isn't that just lightning from clowds?" No it wasn't, because the sky was comepletly clear on that day.

How does cells only coming from pre-existing cells destroy the theory of evolution? I don't quite see that. They estimate that life started around 3.2-3.4 billion years ago, and I'm no expert here but the theory is that in those turbulent times where volcanoes and lightning storms were incredibly more common than today the first single celled organisms or pre-single celled organisms started in that strange and otherworldly mix of chemicals. But the thing is that it can probably never stay more than a theory because we don't have physical documentation about what happened, quite naturally. So unless we could make a time-machine and somehow go back in time to take samples or film it or have it under a microscope we can't know per se how it happened.
As for evolution that theory is really quite believable, through the very very long history of life on this planet species have evolved to fit their environments and adapt to the changes in environment. For instance most Africans from central Africa have less hair on both their heads and their bodies than people from say northern Europe, this is an evolutionary adaptation to warm and cold climates. And just to address the point Christians often make that the theory of evolution is just a "theory" and not known fact I have to say that just recently some scientists in America did manage to create small scale, but nonetheless observable evolution on a microscopic cell based level. But still I've heard people say they've never actually seen evolution in effect, and this is true, with our lifespan we would indeed not be able to witness our own evolution And seeing how it took us a couple of million years to go from monkeys to what we are today it would be quite hard to "test" and "prove" it in a lab.
And to that the eye-witness accounts of Jesus performing miracles speak to the truth of such events I have to bring my old point back, that such events are indeed quite easy to fabricate and put into the bible by so-called "eye witness" accounts, which there have been plenty of mind you in earlier texts of myth and magic too, such texts Christians now and then would call "pagan". For instance here in Norway during the Viking age we used to believe that lightning was created by the Thunder God Thor when he was out riding his goat-wagon and he cracked his hammer at the sky. Today scientific texts, statements, theory and so on are under constant scrutiny of other scientists and other sources, which is good. It is good because we have to retest and reprove the theories we have, we constantly make sure that they're "up to date" so to speak. And as we make new discoveries still, we also find ourselves in need to adapt and rethink the old theories that have become obsolete or disproved. Many Christians make the comparison that science can't be trusted because of this, that science tends to be like liquid, with no solid form and that the theories are not robust at all, that indeed because we have believed in the word of the Bible to be the word of God for so long it surely does prove the Bible to be a more robust source of truth and offer a more solid view of the world. Personally I think it's a great thing that science is "flexible" enough to allow for new ideas and new inspiration and impulses to reshape and improve it, improve our understanding of the world with it.
And btw how do we know that the people seeing Jesus up and walking 3 days after he was buried were secular eye witness accounts? I think most people of that place in the world and at that time were all either believes in the roman Gods or Jews.
Now to address the point you're making about everything having a perfect and elegant design.
How is it perfect that we have a tail-bone? The human tail-bone long ceased to have a meaningful function for us. And then there's the issue of people just simply being different, I mean if there was a perfect and divine design to us I'd think we would indeed be much more alike. But instead you have a lot of genetic differences between people from different parts of the world. For instance Kenyans are known to have a very slender build, actually having comparatively slimmer legs than most other ethnic groups, this makes them formidable runners and there's quite a large amount of Olympic marathon winners coming from Kenya compared to other nations. Most Asian peoples are shorter and smaller of build than for instance Northern Europeans and there's a wide array of difference in size when it comes to the continent of Africa. All which I personally would ascribe to be a result of local evolutionary paths taken by the different groups altogether.
But indeed there exist a good harmony to things in the world. Flora can't exist wholly without bees pollinating between them, and bees can't exist wholly without having flora to get honey from. You can't have the one without the other, and here I do agree with you in large part. But I have to bring up evolution to answer and explain this again. Over millions of years things the whole ecosystem has slowly but surely expanded to cover most of the world's surface in one way or anything, until now I'd say we have a global ecosystem as well as myriad smaller local ones. When I say global I mean for instance that certain species of fish travel around the world to find their mating places. And then there's smaller ecosystems which are in effect completely isolated from the rest of the world. Now how is it that it's unacceptable that this all happened "by chance" so to speak? The thing is that all the hundreds and thousands and more unsuccessful mutations in nature have not survived. Evolution favored the species most able to adapt to their environments. Of course you don't have any insects on the south pole, for instance, it's too cold for them to live and breed there. Of course there's no fish on land as they have not yet developed the ability to breath air. Everything fits perfectly because it has over time adapted to fit perfectly. The countless inferior mutations of different species have long died out and not been given the chance to breed new generations, and thus we get the one instead of the other, or both for that matter.

The point is, if cells can only come from pre-existing cells, then how can life come from non-life.
If it's so beleivable then how come I saw the ridiculous illistration in a book written by an evolutionist, that depicts the evolutionary chain of a whale slowly turning into a bull.
That's not an evolutionary adaption. That's variation.
Actually, it's been proven that the earth couldn't have been ouround for that long since the guy who wrote "The History of the World" lied about the erosion of the earth that Niagra Falls runs over. He said that it took thousands of years for the rock to be eroded to the point that it is and that every year, one inch of rock would be eroded. The locals of that area told him that it eroded a few feet every year. So if that was a lie, what else was a lie?
Ok so maybe not all of them were secular, but I can tell you that a lot of the people that saw him walking around were other religions besides Jedaism. Besides, who would die for a lie? Most of Jesus' disciples were all executed for their faith. If they knew it was a lie, why would they be willing to die for it. Answer, they wouldn't, if they knew it was a lie. Which it wasn't.
Well the variation thing can be explained with the fact that adam and eve had many children after Kain and Abl. So the DNA was bound to be combined in many different ways. Thereby causing variation. As for the areas differnt things are found, why is it always natural selction? I mean the whole thing with the finch's is pretty much unfounded because Charles Darwin's theory went on the Basis that the finch's with different shaped beaks couldn't migrate to the other side of the island. He said that the finches that didn't have suitable beaks died of in the areas that didn't have food for them to eat.
I mean, if a climate becomes too cold, then wouldn't the bugs simply migrate?
Here's another thing on design. The single celled organism called flagelates has a designed system for moving the flagellum. Looking under a microscope, scientists can see that the area where the flagellum connects is designed like a motor. It hasmotor like parts that are spinning the flagelum at several hundred revolutions a second. Now how can the randomness of evolution produce something that functions identiclly like a simple motor?
