Edit: I'm so happy about receiving a DD and I hope you all have liked it, I'm in the process of looking for new effects (by my favourite method, experimentation!) anyway thank you for so many views, Faves, and Group Features! I never would have expected a DD on a work that I did when I got incredibly bored, or any of my work for that matter! Oh! And post links to your version here so I can check them out!Ok, so I had far too much time on my hands, so i made my first ever tutorial, this is how to make the 'Diamond Lights' image i made a while ago.
And for the Blur, use anything between 0.1-0.7.
Use a really good render setting, i did this as a quick thing just to get it done. I don't know why I was always too scared to do tutorials, it's so easy!

Hey this is the first Tutorial that worked out for me. Very easy to understand thanks heaps. Only question is. How do I get a nice smooth picture like yours mine seems stilla bit grainy and I would like to go for more smooth and glossy

I use a different render setting: Try a high quality (4000-10000 works, just be prepared to wait quite a long time for the render.) and set a higher oversample, just don't use the default settings and you should be okay.

At the risk of sounding like a complete idiot, what program are you using to edit the original image?
Overall I see this as a well-made, easily understandable tutorial, you should make more if you enjoyed making this one.

I used Microsoft Picture Viewer on the original, but normally I'd use GIMP 2.8 or a similar program. I actually never thought I'd get a DD in all the time I would ever spend on dA but even so it's amazing got one! thanks!

Hello. I just can't make this work by tapping right arrow on my keyboard. Am I missing something? It is a good tutorial and you made a beautiful image. x

oh yeah, i should have also put the other directions for the same thing in. in editor go to the Triangle tab and where there's a set of arrows that look like what's on your keyboard, it should be the second row of directions down make sure it's set to 0.1 and click the right arrow 4 times, mine works with pressing the right arrow. hope that helps and thank you very much
